Can anyone tell me how I check for unsent emails as I can't find any 'Outbox"??
there seem to be many posts on this same issue.  this fix to reset spotlight works well:

however, after upgrading to 14.3.8 it keeps breaking to where i'm forced to do this routine over and over again - either option 1 or both 1 & 2. it just doesn't hold.

Sorry if this is a really dumb question, but here goes. I run Office 365/Office 2011 on a Mac Mini. The only consistent problem I have is that when I leave the computer for, say, lunch, or to run errands or what have you, I almost always return to find that the Outlook window moves in such a way that to return it to center screen I have to shut it down and restart.

I run Outlook continuously, usually maximized. When I return to the computer after an hour or two, the window almost always has shrunken to a quarter of the screen and is locked in the top left of it, so far to the top right that I can't access the x - + buttons. When I drag the window to the middle of the screen, it immediately jumps back into the left corner.

Any idea what might be causing this to happen?

Thanks.

Nothin’ urgent, but curious if anyone knows what’s going on with this:

In the past I could send group e-mails from Outlook (for Mac) with no problem. Over the past year or so this feature seems to have gone away. I’ve seen various posts from others with this issue but no real solutions.

  • Basically, I can send e-mails to individual folks with no problem from Outlook.
  • However, if I use a group of contacts, I get this error:
  • "One or more recipients are invalid" Error code -19841
  • However, if I switch to the Outlook web version maintained by my University using Safari, the message (that has been saved in my Drafts folder), can be sent without any problem. Specifically, there is no message that “One or more recipients are invalid” and the message goes through without any issue.
  • So, it’s not really a problem since the workaround is so easy, but the bug offends my sense of computer propriety :)

Do you guys have any suggested solutions? Our University's IT Team is stumped.

    Thank you!

    • Outlook for Mac 2011 version 14.3.8 (130913)
    • Mac OS 10.9
    • Safari v 7.0
A recent upgrade to OSX Mavericks has disabled the Synch Services function in Outlook for Mac 2011.  Apples says that Microsoft has known about this change and that Microsoft will have to provide new functionality to enable iCloud synch services.  Has anyone figured out a way to make synch work in this environment?
A minor problem but annoying to me.

When I drag emails from my Sent Messages folder to Outlook Folders on my computer it copies them rather than moves them which means I then need to delete the item from Sent Messages and then Deleted Messages. When I do the same on my Inbox or Deleted Messages it physically moves them to where I want them to go and doesn't leave the original message where I have dragged it from.

Is this a Mac issue?
I upgraded to Office 365 and would like to use Outlook 2011 for Mac, using Exchange so my contacts, calendar and tasks all sync.  Is this possible and if so, what are the settings I need to use?

Thanks

Hello,

I'm trying to solve an issue for Mac users that has been seen and resolved already in our Windows population. The customer I'm working for is implementing a newer version of content filtering. It uses Kerberos (Integrated Windows Authentication). Originally their older Windows XP clients prompted for NTLM credentials when in Outlook and were opening an email that contained embedded HTTP.

The fix for this issue if this was a Windows system is to do the following:

With the XP SP2 release and SP3, Microsoft implemented several security measures
into both Outlook and Internet Explorer (IE) to protect against multiple attack
vectors, the largest being email spoofing.

Outlook has just one zone - Restricted.  In this zone, you will always be
prompted for credentials to mitigate email spoofing and other attacks.

Windows XP SP2 implements two additional security measures for Outlook:

HTTP Cookies are no longer sent for image downloads.

  1. HTTP Credentials are no longer sent for image downloads.

You can use the following registry edit to allow outlook.exe
to send http credentials to the proxy server when it goes out to fetch
images.

Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and
then click OK.

  1. Expand the following subkey:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Main\FeatureControl

      3.    Right-click
FeatureControl, point to New, and then click
Key.
      4.    Type
KB895948_DISABLE_MAIL_SUBDOWNLOAD_LOCKDOWN, and then press
ENTER to name the new subkey.
      5.    Right-click
on KB895948_DISABLE_MAIL_SUBDOWNLOAD_LOCKDOWN, point to
New, and then click DWORD Value

6.    Type outlook.exe, and then press ENTER
to name the new entry.
      7.    Right-click outlook.exe,
and then click Modify.
      8.    In the
Value data box, type 00000001, and then click
OK
      9.    Quit Registry Editor.

I'm not a Mac person, but I've done quite a bit of digging. I'm looking to find out if there are PLIST settings on Mac Outlook or Mac Office that would accomplish the same purpose as the Windows Registry fix referenced above? Essentially I need to be able to have Mac Outlook provide the users Kerberos ticket transparently to our proxy.

I know that Kerberos is working on our Mac systems as I do not get prompted when using either Safari or Firefox, and I can verify Kerberos is working by looking at the authentication counters on the proxy.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

David

I recently started recieving returned emails into my Outlook email program most say they are being returned as the address does not exist. I have sent none of these messages and all contain attachments with german sounding names that Mackeeper tells me contain a virus. I contacted Mackeeper and they told me that I had been hacked to change my password. I have done this and am still recieving them. I purchased network protection and I am still recieving them. And they tell me Outlook is all bringing them in bypassing the network protection when I run outlook.

I have recieved up to 30 in one day and am at my wits end. I thought Mac's had few viruses. I feel quite competent on mac's but am totally out of my depth on this problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

This is a very useful feature only available in Outlook for Windows. It'd be greatly appreciated to have it in Outlook for Mac
