Ive just changed my POP3 accounts to IMAP in MAC Outlook and im able to download emails on BOTH accounts, however i can only send emails from one of the accounts. Both details are the same (except for different email address and password).

I am using

Incoming server - imap-mail.outlook.com :993

outgoing server - smtp-mail.outlook.com : 587

Like i said both details are the same on both accounts so i cannot see what this is not working.

I like having simultaneous access to several accounts but it is frustrating that I can't take one or more accounts off-line and continue to work with all other accounts - am I missing something or is this just the way Outlook is?   I don't want to delete those accounts but I only need to interrogate them occasionally

Hi,

I'm trying to add my exchange email to my outlook 365 and it keeps coming up with the message "cannot identify server" I am using the same server I use on my iPhone and that works fine. Is there something I'm missing?
Thanks in advance
I tried to set up a new Outlook account to talk to my existing email server.  When I changed some of the settings (ports etc) and then tried to close Outlook, it displayed a message saying "deleting 5 folders", after which all the folders from the original account (itself a subfolder of my Inbox) were gone, along with all the messages.  meanwhile the new Outlook account (imap) does not connect to the server; I tried setting up another version as a POP account, and it sent but could not receive mail.  This has now happened twice, once with my old hosting service and now with a new hosting service, so I know it's not them, but Outlook. so::

1.  is there a fix for this, and a way to recover the lost emails?

I have been having other problems with outlook and am thinking of reinstalling it.

2.  If I save my Microsoft User Data and then reinstall Outlook, will I lose anything?  will I be able to recover all my old Identities?

thank you,
If I send an email to a number of people, most of them listed as "BCC", what happens when someone replies by clicking on "Reply all"? Does the reply go to all of those in the BCC field, or just to me as the sender and any others in the CC field?
Thanks
Ian
I cannot see my calendar events on Outlook 2011.  I have rebuilt the database.

I was able to see them before.

I have checked the calendar on the navigation pane.

I have 2 exchange calendars and one is working fine.

Every few days Outlook for mac downloads hundreds of historic emails...really frustrating as I then trash and sort them only for it to happen again...looked at sync services and other settings but can't seem to find how to stop this happening...can anyone help??
