Hi I can see that this questions has been asked before, but it was a while ago.

I honestly can't believe that this is not a feature of the Mac version when it is available on the PC version.

Anyway, how do you get around this?

Is there a good workaround?

Many thanks,
Lisa

Maybe I'm crazy in my request, but I thought I would ask. I'm switching over to Microsoft Outlook after months of agony with Apple Mail and my work Exchange Account. However, there are parts of Apple Mail I miss desperately and am trying to recreate in Outlook. The main question is this:

With Apple Mail I was able to send emails out automatically, but could choose to receive mail when I wanted it. That way I'm able to batch process my email, knowing it was being sent out throughout the day for others to respond, but I could choose when the replies and other emails came in for me to deal with.

I've been messing with the schedules but it seems to one or the other: either automatic send/receive, or manual send/receive (won't send until I tell it to).

I assume there is a way, but I'm just not getting the settings right. Does anyone else have a similar set up that you could advise me on? Thanks in advance for your help.
My wife has 3 pop3 accounts in her Outlook 2011 for Mac with rules that move emails from the inbox to inboxes for each account.  One of the accounts now needs to be IMAP.  I created an IMAP setup for this account.  Now when we do a send/receive all, all "sub folders" disappear in the "On My Computer" folder along with the |> icon in front of it.  We do not have group all like folders nor do we have hide folders on my computer.  The only way to get them back, visually and accessibly, is to shutdown Outlook and restart it.  We are fairly up-to-date with Office 2011 updates.

Any thoughts?  Any ideas?  Any clues?

Thanks,
Joe

P.S.
If I do a send/receive on each account individually, including the IMAP one, this problem does not happen.
Hello:

I have Outlook Mac 2011 and when I receive an email from some people I can see where the document attached was stored...i.e. "H\documents and setting\bob\file.xlxs".  When I go to save it to my drive it saves it with all this information as if it is part of the file name.
while using Outlook mac 2011  (IMAP) got problem with "ALL MAIL" folder it is empty (not synced).
Other folders are ok
I receive calendar .ics files via email attachment on a regular basis from one of my customers which are generated from Apple's iCal. When I receive the email on my iPad and tap the .ics file to add it to my calendar it is added successfully and appears on the iPad calendar but it never appears in my Outlook calendar. There are no other issues with the Outlook calendar apart from these .ics file generated appointments not flowing through to Outlook.

If I manually create appointments on the iPad they appear on Outlook within seconds typically, but for some reason that I can't understand these .ics files appointments don't flow through. I've noticed that I cannot "edit" these appointments either on the iPad - there is no "edit" button when I view these appointments, unlike other appointments that have an edit button where I can change the date/time etc.

Anyone come across this before or know why these appointments won't flow through to Outlook (they are added to the correct calendar on the iPad)?

I have current versions of all software on the Mac and iPad is on the latest version of iOS 7.
On my Outlook 2011 for Mac, when using my gmail account, it continues to ask me for my password after I have entered it. It is the correct password but it doesn't accept it. This is the message that I keep getting:

The server for account "Gmail" returned the error "[ALERT] Too many simultaneous connections. (Failure)." Your username/password or security settings may be incorrect. Would you like to try re-entering your password?

I only have two email accounts so I don't know why it continues to bring up this message. Can anyone help?
