Outlook, as of 3 days ago, has not been sending emails.

There are no error messages and the emails are being put into the sent items folder but are not being sent.

We found out when people I have emailed called about not getting responses.

We have Outlook on 6 Macs, only two of them are doing this.

I have checked all the settings and passwords and everything is correct. I have been looking at trouble shooting and help files and cannot find any information on this or what to do. I have contacted my web mail server and the problem is not on there end - so they say.

Help!

I have Outlook 2011 for Mac and use a live.com (outlook.com) address.  Though MOST of the junk mail comes through to my junk mail folder on my mac, some never does.  That means I have to keep checking live.com for some junk mail that never reaches my computer.  Does this mean OTHER mail never comes through?  It seems that all the mail in my online inbox appears on my mac's Outlook 2011 inbox.  Using 10.7.5 Lion if that's relevant.
Hello.  I recently moved from a POP server to Exchange server, specifically to enable syncing with my iPhone.  I was able to import the POP emails which reside in "On My Computer" folder. Now, I would like to delete emails from the phone, but leave them on the computer.  I thought that I could simply move the emails from the Inbox residing on Exchange to the On My Computer folder.  While they do duplicate in each location, when I delete from either the phone or from the exchange folder, the email also gets deleted from the On My Computer folder.  I want immediate access to the emails, so don't think that olm files are the solution.  Any suggestions?  Am hoping it's a setting that I don't have correct, because it SEEMS like this should work?!  Thank you!

When I send or receive a meeting cancellation in Office 2011 for Mac, the e-mail cancellation sends and looks as expected. However, the actual meeting in the calendar does not get updated? Other updates seem to go through, but cancellations do not update the meeting title or modify the meeting block to show as free.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

A couple of wish list ideas for Outlook for Mac 2014:

  • I'd like to be able to choose the reply format when I reply. Mozilla Thunderbird does this through shift-click, e.g., shift-click Reply to reply in plain text rather than HTML. (Switching between formats once Reply has been clicked is less accurate or useful, because the damage has already been done.)
  • I'd like to be able to add or remove quote levels from plain text emails. (Apple Mail allows this.)
  • I'd like to be able to reflow text when writing a plain text email --- so that it's not done auto-magically when I send the email. Apple Mail automatically flows text, and sometimes (often?) the formatting is messed up as a result. Thunderbird seems to leave plain text alone once you hit send.
  • Better support for tables in HTML email would be great. Thunderbird has excellent support for tables.

Thanks,

-Adam

I am using Outlook for Mac 2011 version 14.3.9 but can't find anything in the help or on the web about if this functionality is only available on the Mac version.  All I can find is this article: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/use-conversation-clean-up-to-eliminate-redundant-messages-HA101867736.aspx.  I really love this feature and hope I can do it now that I use a Mac.

Outlook 2011 for Mac in an Exchange 2010 SP2 Environment.

I have a group of 6 or 7 users who access their Exchange mailbox via Outlook 2011 for Mac using the "Exchange" connection. They are all using the most current version 14.3.9, though this had occurred with prior versions as well.

These users also connect to a group of shared Exchange resource mailboxes, to which they have been granted full mailbox access and send as permissions.

These mailboxes are added to their default identity via "File-->open-->other user's folder". each user connects to these mailboxes the same way.

These shared mailboxes are relatively small, less than 100mb and less than a few hundred mail items each.

On two separate occasions now, all sub folders of the inbox of several of these shared mailboxes are being soft-deleted by Outlook for Mac. The User issuing the delete command varies, but they are always the Outlook for Mac users listed above.

I have confirmed through reviewing of Time stamps via Exchange mailbox auditing that these users are NOT manually issuing the folder delete. My best guess is that it's occurring as the result of some sort of synchronization issue with Outlook for Mac and the shared mailbox.

I can't keep recreating identities for these users (Which didn't appear top resolve the problem anyway), and I can't have these folder deletes continue to occur, as my only course of action is a data restore from backup.

Here is an example of an audit log entry from one of the resource mailboxes. I've removed the real name of the user in the "performed by:" column, but other than that, it's a real entry.

Time:2/25/2014 9:31 PM
Performed by:%EMPLOYEE NAME%
Signed in as:User with delegate access
Operation:Soft-delete
Subject:Inbox\Completed Approvals
Source:Inbox
Status:Succeeded

Can anyone give me insight as to why this is happening and how I can resolve it?

Thanks,

Christiaan

Hello.

After reading many posts about outlook identity etc, I have located the database file on my hard drive and back up drive.   I am however unable to figure out how to get these files, (emails, contacts, calendars) back into outlook.  I have rebuilt many times and it always worked in the past but I am at a loss at this time how to get these very important files back into outlook.

Any help/advice is greatly appreciated!
