WLM. Msg.- “Unsent Messages in Outbox”. Hung up

My Windows Live Mail is hung up and will not send emails. Each time I sync email I get a message saying " You have unsent messages in your Outbox, do you wan to send now"... Selecting the YES option does not work. I have tried turning off NORTON Antivirus, Re-entering my mail Account settings. In searching the web I find several similar posts but for Windows Mail and Vista. I am running Windows 7 with WLM. Help

Hello----I'm having trouble with wlm sending my emails---is there a way I can "update" wlm without moving to Outlook wlm?? Thanks emc

I tried to send a rather large message from WLM via my account on yahoo.com and it’s stuck, too large

All my sends are stuck and I don't know where to find that 'too large' mail on WLM to delete it.

The WLM error message is below, I was sending an email with 3 attachments about 2MB each. It appears the Yahoo server is rejecting my email because it's too large, I just need to know where to go to kill it in Live Mail, it's not in the 'Sent' folder because it hasn't been sent yet. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Is it possible to show more than one calendar in WLM like you can in Outlook?

I'd like to see the calendars for two accounts at the same time in Windows Live Mail. You can do this in Outlook. Is this possible?

WLM works erratically!

My WLM will work for a few hours just by opening program and then it will not work for several hours. At that time it will show password window but will not accept password. I am reluctant to try changing settings as WLM will work perfectly for a time. Also I can go to ATT and access my mail that WLM will no download, so the problem seems to lie with WLM.

How do I update Windows Live Mail in a simple way?

I installed WLM when Windows 7 first came out. I have version 14.0.8089.0726.

It seems that there have been several updates since. I have run Windows updates and it seems everything is up to date. But it does not seem to update WLM.

I do have a Microsoft account and do have Outlook.com installed (just as a trial), but I still want WLM to be my main email client. I have no need for Windows Live Essentials (I don't really know much about it, but I don't want messenger or any more stuff!)

Is there a simple update for WLM that will just perform the update without me having to reinstall or worry about losing my emails and account setups?

Reading the other posts it all seems so complex and convoluted. Maybe I should install Thunderbird or some other stand alone email client?

Windows Live Mail Animation Speed

I have Windows Live Mail installed on a new Win7 system. I use WLM to access several different email accounts. When I switch from one inbox to another the email titles in the Message List do a fade/slide-in visual effect. How do I speed up (or eliminate) that visual effect? It is quite annoying, especially since I just did a major hardware upgrade and the animation negates any improvement in speed.

Windows Live Mail abruptly stopped sending/receiving

WLM stopped working, for no apparent reason. I can access the main page, but there are no recent emails listed, and I cannot seuccessfully send/receive

Previous question/answer was for Vista:

Assuming this is a POP3 account, you need to configure both computer email

programs to leave the messages on the server after downloading.

WLM is set to do this by default.

So open Windows Mail on the Vista computer,

click on Tools - accounts - <youraccount> - Properties - Advanced

check "[x] Leave a copy of messages on server"

you should also check "[x] remove from server after xx days"

so the server inbox won't fill up.

There is no Advanced tab on Windows 7 Home Edition. I need to remove deleted messages from my website email account's server when deleted from WLM email account. They need to be in sync. How do I access the rules/instructions on WLM for the server as shown above?
