I have WLM 2011. If I open a message and then click to close it, that closes the WLM program too. This problem just showed up yesterday, after months of using WLM with no problem.

I use WLM for all of my email accounts. A short time ago i was informed that my Hormail account may have been hacked  and it had been suspended. I went through all of the processes  of proving I owned that account and after a password change it was restored to me. Since then every time I open WLM a warning box opens to say ' the email address or password is incorrect, please try again' At first I went through the palaver of re entering my details to access that particular account., but soon found that by just clicking  the 'X' to shut the box I was able to read my mail. This is just a nuisance that I can do without. Anyone out there can tell me how to overcome this issue. O.S is Windows 7

I want to export all of the emails in a Storage folder in WLM to a folder which can be burned to a CD or DVD.  When I am finished, I want the file list to show at least the Subject and the sent date for each email so the list can be an index of the files on the CD.

When I use the WLM Export function, the list of files in the outside folder shows the subjects of the emails as a series of unintelligible letters and numbers.

When I drag and drop or copy and paste as a group to an outside folder, I lose the original sent date in the file list.  Instead, I get the current date as the date modified.

How can I get an intelligible list of the emails in a folder outside of WLM?

Also, is there anyway to convert the file type from .eml to something that can be read by a more common program like Notebook?

I'm using IE 8  with Outlook.com.   I am notified when receiving new emails via Windows Live Messenger, however, recently when "sending"  emails., WLM  notifies me that I'm "receiving" the email??

Can you please help me correct this issue?

Thank you for your help & assistance.

I use WLM to access three POP3 email accounts (MSN, Hotmail and AT&T).  Will WLM continue to work after installing the Office 365 download.

On 5 or 6 only out of 300 contacts I have in WLM 2012, the delete button is nto highlighted, so I cant delete them. These seem to be contacts which have been automatically created, either from import or some other way, because they all have very little detail, mostly just full name and sometimes a partial home address.

Any ideas on how to delete these unwanted contacts?

Thanks
Bob
I'm trying to backup my WLM messages to an external drive. WLM program wants to backup to a folder, I want to backup to an external hard drive. Is it possible?

I have set my WLM safety options to block all but 2 foreign country origination emails, and the Phishing option is enabled.  I received a message in my Inbox from Tuvalu in Polynesia obviously sent to obtain personal bank account info.  Additionally, my Microsoft Security Essentials did not alert on this message either.  I did not open the message, I viewed the header/source info first.

I was easily able to learn where this message originated and sent an alert to the ISP in the Tuvalu.

Now could someone please tell me why WLM can mark a message from one of my subscribed Yahoo Groups as Phishing, and not catch something so obvious as the Tuvalu message?

Besides it being on my International Top Level Domain Block List, this just is so not cool!

Sharon

Due to a hard drive problem we had to purchase a new hard drive.

We installed WLM and we are having a problem with the subject line.

We previously saw part of the message in the subject area

now we only see the subject and have to click it to see the message.

How can we revert back to our previous view of e-mail messages ?

Thank You

I finally was able to set up WLM and export folders to my hard drive.  I notice the mail in the hard drive folders can only be opened in WLM and not by Outlook.  I can work with that BUT after copying the folders to my hard drive, can I delete the folders in Outlook with losing the WLM-stored folders?
