I’ve been using win8 for several months.  I have set my  E-mail account on Windows Live Mail and it stopped sending E-mails, although it receives as usual. I did not make any changes to the proprieties of the account, nor did I remove my laptop from its original place.
Whenever I try to send a message, it generates a Windows live mail error ID 0X800CCC0B and the message stays as unsent on the outbox folder.
I suspect, but I am not sure, that this happened from the moment my Win 8 performed an automatic update on July18, 2013.
Can anyone help?

I have added a signature in windows live mail.  Inserted the pic saved it as an html clicked on show on outgoing mail opened a new mail and the pic is still not there. Pleas help

In the past week when I open my Windows Live Mail to view my e-mails, I get a Security Alert message quite often stating "Revocation information for the security certificate for this site is not available.  Do you want to proceed?  The options are Yes, No, View Certificate.  Clicking the "View Certificate" says it is intended to ensure the identify of a remote computer, Issued by:  GTE CyberTrust Global Root, and gives a Certification path, Valid from 8/27/12 to 8/27/13.  I'm not sure if I should install this certificate or it it's from a hacker or a virus.  Has anyone experienced this alert or have a suggestion if it's safe?
At some point the windows live mail calendar did pick up the windows 8 and outlook changes but it is no longer updating.  Old entries that have been deleted on windows 8 calendar are still there.  How do I get windows live mail to sync and stay in sync.
Somehow, I have two mail boxes for my e-mail address in Windows Live Mail. How do I combine or consolidate them into one?
Hello,

I am having a problem importing my Outlook Express Windows Address Book (WAB) from my old PC (running Windows XP) to my new computer that is using Windows Live Mail (and running Windows 7).

On my old PC, I had organized my WAB (which contains over 5,000 contacts) into various folders/categories.  I also had most of the email accounts set up to include First and Last names, as well as email addresses.  I exported my WAB from the old XP computer and imported the WAB into Windows Mail Live on the OS7 computer by using the "in mail" features on both systems.  Now, here is the problem:

While the new PC/Windows Mail Live indicated that the WAB transferred successfully, it did not import in exactly the same way that it exists on the old PC with XP using Outlook Express.  Some of the contacts appear to be missing all together, others are not showing in the folders/categories to which they belong, and many seem to have lost their First and Last names, instead showing the email address both under the email category and under the user name category.

Does anyone know why this is happening, or how I can correct it?  Am I doing something wrong?  Is there a better way to transfer the WAB?  Unfortunately, my knowledge is limited when it comes to this kind of thing, but generally I can resolve most issues I run into through trial and error.  This, however, has been one area that I've found no success in fixing.  Any help or direction that anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

PhillyRich

I am still getting to know my new email but nevertheless have to say I was staggered when transferring some content relating to my Chairmanship of a school governing body from my previous Windows Live Mail address with Waitrose to my new inbox that it opened bearing a photograph of my wife against the sending address which she tells me is that from her Facebook page.

I have sought no links with Facebook nor for that matter with Twitter or LinkedIn and find this unsolicited intrusion unacceptable (I subscribe to none of them).

Why and how did it occur and how can I get rid of it and ensure that it doesn't happen again if I find I need to import more historical emails?

I was duped into sending (or trying to send) this message earlier by naively believing that the invitation to "add to contacts" the email address which welcomed me into this new world actually meant I could use it as a contact but it quickly came back as undeliverable from yet another address about Hotmail...............customer friendly or what?

I acknowledge my limitations as to computer literacy but that just means surely that it should be made easier for me to contact you for help from time to time but I am given to understand that this is the only game in town.

I await your advice with thanks in anticipation.

Richard Allen.
