I have just downloaded windows live mail after resetting my computer back to factory settings.  now when I open windows live mail I get the following message:-

The server you are connected to is using a security certificate that could not be verified. The certificate's CN name does not match the passed value.

Do you want to continue:  I click yes and then I can receive emails, however, when I try to send them I get the following message:-

smtp: virginmedia.com

windows live mail error id: 0x800CCC0E

port: 587

secure (SSL) yes

Socket error: 10060

I have tried everything checked all the server connections, port no's. security settings, I even tried to reset the DNS.

I am a 55 year old totally techn phobe and I am loosing the will to live.

PLEASE HELP.

I am unable to delete an email ad from Sears. When I click on it I get the error message: "Security Alert-Revocation information for the security certificate for this site is not available. Do you want to proceed?" If I click on the "Yes" or "No" box, nothing happens and I am unable to leave the message unless I end the task with TaskManager. If I come back and put the mouse pointer on that message, the same thing happens again.
Hi,

Often when I open Windows Live Mail I get multiple pop up windows telling me revocation information for the security certificate blah blah blah.  And I can't do anything with WLM until I close all of the pop ups, sometimes close to 10 of them.  I'd like this to stop.  Can anyone tell me why this happens or how to stop it?  It doesn't happen every time, but it does happen often.  Thanks.

When I am trying to download attachments from my e-mails (even ones that I have sent to myself) I receive the following message on a toolbar that appears at the top of the page:-

"To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has blocked this website from displaying content with security certificate errors. Click here for options..."

However, when I click on "Display Blocked Content", nothing happens and I am still unable to open the attachments.

When I click to view the attachments (PDFs, Word documents, etc) online this works, but then when I try to download it, I receive the following message:-

As everyone else that I have spoken with does not seem to be experiencing this problem, it is possible that my Outlook account has a virus. I have also had other people check their Outlook accounts on my laptop and they can open attachments perfectly fine.

I cannot open attachments from my outlook.com account.  It keeps saying that this website has blocked content with security certificate errors.  I have tried all the suggestions already in the forum.  I have cleared my internet cache and I have the latest version of internet explorer.  I have also tried using different computers but the same thing keeps happening.  Please help me with a solution to this problem.
Can no longer download any attachment or see any images with my hotmail that connects to the above directory.  I have had this email account for many years and just recently the problems started happening, after the Outlook.com problems during the past week.  The same holds true no matter what computer I use, or what browser I use. I have tried with Explorer, Chrome and Firefox on two different computers.  A second hotmail account we have at our house (That connects to a different .live directory is working fine).  It appears to be a problem with Microsoft's Security Certificate on their site https:\\col128.mail.live.com.  I can forward my emails to my .gmail account and see everything just fine! Don't know how I can report this problem to Microsoft or what else I can do to make this work again.
