I recently upgraded from Windows Live Essentials to Windows Essentials 2012.  Now I can NOT seem to find out how to search/find an old message (i.e. by sender, recipient, subject, content, etc.).  I see the FIND button, but it only shows the TEXT search;  The "message" portion is greyed out and does NOT work.  Step by step, how do I access the message search box/feature?

Also, how do I accessmy CONTACTS for editing and the creation of groups?  In the old WLM version it had a "GO TO" menu.  I can't find a way to get to my CONTACTS list do the group management in 2012.

Your help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

When I try to paste a clip from a website and paste it to an email, it is not visible in the email form as long as the message format is rich text.  If I change the format to text then the text appears.  This only happens when the website attaches the URL of the site to the clip being copied.  Not all web sites do that.  I am running xp sp3, firefox, and windows live mail.  I have IE 8 installed but seldom use it .  I shut down the firewall and antivirus and condition still exists.  Clipboard is running and the text clip selected appears on the clipboard.   No new programs recently added.  Cache and Temp files deleted.  I can paste the clip to Notepad and then copy it there and paste it into the email.  Has something to do with the URL being attached, I believe.

All suggestions welcome.

Thanks
When an email thread builds up to multiple replies Outlook displays the old mail in the thread in a single character column. Its pretty hard to describe without posting a picture but to illustrate a text like "this" would be displayed as:

t
h
i
s

And the text "On November 6th 2012 Joe Bloggs wrote" displays as
O
n

N
o
v
e
m
b
e
r

6
[well you get the idea].

The same email viewed from Mail.app displays just fine. As does webmail.

What am I doing wrong?
