I can sync Outlook for mac with the ical calendar and the ical with google calendar, but I cannot get the google calendar appts in outlook.
The idea is to sync all to google so that is the main calendar that shows up in outlook etc. On my PC this works fine.
Please help me....
I have reinstalled Office for Mac 2011 in my MacBook Pro 10.7.4 because after one update of Microsoft Office it stopped working altogether and I got this message; Account cannot be added . Note that Outlook 2011 requires exchange server 2007 SPA
Update Rollup 4 or later.
Now it is working again but I am not so confident to update the software in case the same thing happens again. Also I noticed that the sent folder stopped syncing and it is not updating to the current date. Do you know what could be causing this?
Thanks
This enigma of connecting to an Exchange Server using Outlook for Mac 2011 has puzzled me for 2 months.
It seems simple to connect other devices, such as the iphone & ipad to the same server and sync calendars & contacts... why, using the same settings as those on the iphone & ipad can this not be done using Outlook? Is it mandatory to use a VPN tunnel?
Thanks, Steve

I have a mac computer and google calendar. I am trying to get the google calendar into my outlook for mac. Is this possible?
I have sync'd my Outlook Contact list with my Mac address book and with Yahoo contacts as well. Somehow while 're-doing' things I have accumulated a large number of dupicates and even tripicates on my Outlook list, but not elswhere. I can't eliminate these
duplicates because the drop down window for duplicates will not high-light. How do I eliminate my Outlook contact duplicates?
I asked this question some time ago and since it didn't back then, I quit using it. However, before I decide to move back to Exchange, has any of the updates that have been handed out until current allow the program to sync rules and junk settings information?
We have moved to using iPhones and iPad for our remote employees. They currently use Windows PCs for their laptops. We have several requests to give them Macbooks or iMacs that will synch like the iPhone's and ipads.
Does Office:mac on an iMac sync to exchange with active sync? What would be the recommendation?

I am using a Mac Air with Outlook 2011. I have forwarded an existing meeting to 2 Exchange users to invite them to meeting. They both accepted. I went to look on my PC Outlook and the 2 users that accepted were not there. I then went back to the Mac
and they weren't there either. What is going on? Is this a sync issue? An Exchange Server setting issue?

I have tried to do the aforementioned solutions, but there are no files in my user/library/preferences folder titled
com.microsoft.Outlook.SyncServicesPreferences.plist
com.microsoft.SyncservicesAgent.plist
(There are lots of other files with the com., but not these)
