I use my MacBook Pro sometimes as a laptop and other times connected to a cinema screen in my office.  I've found that if I popsition the Office Reminders window too far to the right when working on the large screen, if I then detach it and open the MacBook screen the Reminder window is so far to the right it is outside the visible area of the screen.  Othe items such as desktop icons don't seem to suffer from this problem, they adjust to the screen size and remain in the positions they were.  Is there some way to make the Reminders window do the same?
When I sign into hotmail account I get the screen "a password isn't enough" and it requests phone number and alternate email address. I type in my phone number, but it says that this phone number is not valid in this country/region. The problem is that it IS valid - people ring me on that number all the time. How do I get around this problem?

My fiancee lives in China and I would like to write to her using Chinese characters, however I am not able to do this. Whenever I cut and paste Chinese characters to the reply screen they all come out as question marks. However, she can write to me using Chinese characters from her Hotmail account with no problems.

Is there a way I can add a Chinese character font to my own Hotmail account?

Thank you,

Dan

Five seconds after I sign into hotmail, the screen switches from whatever email or folder I am in to the screen where you write a message.  I have to keep reopening an email, read it for 5 seconds or if I'm fast enough print it out before it switches so I can read the email.  This problem just started today.  I have to my knowledge not made any changes on any settings.  I am opening hotmail through Chrome.  Any suggestions how to fix this?  This may be the deciding factor in dumping msn altogether and just using gmail.
When I sign in to hotmail, about 5 seconds after the normal inbox screen comes up, the screen switches to the "new" mail screen.  This happens whether I actually open an email and attempt to read it or just leave it on the "inbox" screen.  I have been using hotmail on the same computer for a couple of years and never had this problem before.  Anyone know how to fix it?  Thanks.
Outlook for Mac 2011 - Doesn't alert me when I have appointments.

  • I have a Mac so I bought Microsoft Outlook for Mac 2011.  I keep missing appointments because the Outlook Calendar doesn't pop up an alert on my screen like my old Microsoft Outlook calendar used to.  How to I set it so it alerts with a sound and pop up for an appointment?
How can I get onscreen notification of mail?
Cannot use sign out box. Once I am reading a file in the inbox folder I cannot go back to the list of folders in the inbox.  Cannot click onto new/delete/junk/etc blocks at the top of the screen.  Am able to use those keys at the bottom of the screen.  My hotmail is working fine on my Mac computer but not on my PC.  I used Windows Vista.
