Hello,  I am running Windows lLive Mail 2012, and for some reason, the sub-menus on the ribbon tabs will not open for me. When I try to open one of them, it comes back and and says something like "Insert Sub Menu Button Pressed", but I cannot get any thing to actually open it  to view the options available. I am running Windows 8.1 and Windows Live Essentials 2012. HOw can I get the ribbon sub menus to open? Any help will be appreciated.  Thanks in advance.  Travannah
Outlook 2011 for Mac; e-mail Address book, is there one? It doesn't show in the ribbon and I can't find it in the menu.
There is an address button in the ribbon of Outlook 2003-2007. Has the e-mail address book been discarded in 2011, since there is a Contacts program that always seemed redundant?

And there is a host of folders that I can't figure out why so many. I set up an IMAP e-mail account (used POP before) and it has installed most of the folders.
Why are there two Deleted items folders, another Deleted Items folder under a "backup PST" folder, a folder called Junk, another called Trash, and another folder called Junk E-mail?
  • I updated from Windows Live Mail 2011 to 2012.  Two things happened.  I can no longer send an email to a group.  I get an error message which says "the message cannot be sent.  Type an email address for one or more recipients in the TO, CC or BCC box." Obviously an unacceptable situation.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  • The helpful ribbon at the top has disappeared. I now have a barebones menu with many fewer choices.  is there a way to restore the ribbon?  Thanks very much!
I'm using Windows 7-64 bit and just updated to Windows Live Mail 2011.  In the previous version of Live Mail (the one prior to the ribbon), all open emails and the main window were on my task bar (I have them joined, but they were all visible when I moused over them).  This is no longer the case.  If I try to reply to a note, I see that note on my task bar; but I can't access the main window.  The only way I can get to it is to minimize the note I'm writing.  Is this no longer possible?
Greetings,
How do you activate the developer tab in Outlook 2011?

Background:
In Word and Excel 2011, there is a ribbon customization "gear" at the far right of the ribbon, which is used to activate the developer tab.
This is very easy to find and use.
However, this icon does not appear in Outlook 2011.

Searching for this simple option in the typical resources does not yield useful information:
The menu option View/Customize Toolbars provides no options to change the tabs.
Preferences contains no options for Toolbars

In Outlook 2011 Help, the term "developer tab" does not provide any results. Other terms such as "ribbon preferences", which is the term used on Word 2011's "gear" also does not provide useful results.
If you search on "tabs", the "Customize Outlook window" result only offers the option to minimize the ribbon so that only the existing tabs appear.
When reviewing

In the KB, ( kb "outlook for mac" "developer tab" ) provides no relevant hits, nor do any number of other searches using terms such as "customize ribbon", etc.
