I wish to attach photos as I could in earlier versions of WLM and Outlook Express, by clicking on them in My Pictures Library, having choice of reducing size and simple attachment to email.   I do not want "Album", "OneDrive" etc Nobody I have sent them to since this has appeared in the email can download them, except as thumbnails. I did not ask for this "development" and cannot find a way to eliminate it. Please help. Has anyone else had this problem?

I send photos from my HTC One as email attachment.  When I try to open them I get the message that photo gallery does not support or that I need to update.  These photos are jpeg.  I cannot save to my computer or try to open in paint without getting the message that the file may be damaged or corrupted.

Any ideas?

Hello,

I have recently been having trouble receiving certain messages with photo attachments.

They come from people that I know, and the messages included photos that I wanted to receive.

The attached photos arrive as text instead of as an attachment.

I believe that the messages all came from iPhones.

When I ask the sender to resend the message to a Yahoo mail address which uses my browser instead of Windows Live Mail,

I receive the photos as attachments as intended.

Please explain how to solve this problem, and if possible, how to recover the messages that were sent to ne where I got text instead of attachments.

Thanks.

I am running 32 bit Vista. Windows mail will not send email photo attachments. It has been suggested that I install Windows Live Mail but delete Windows Writer because of a related security issue with Vista. What does Writer do? How will not having Writer effect the functionality of Live Mail. Thanks.
I am no longer able to open all photo attachments in emails I receive. When I click on a photo to view it, it automatically opens the last attached image in the email. I used to be able to click on any photo attachment and view the one I clicked on, but now it opens the last attached image every time.  How do I correct this?

Hi, I just switched to Outlook. I noticed that certain emails that contain photo attachments just have blue question marks instead of the actual photos. But if I delete the email and click on it in the Deleted folder, the photos load properly. When I move the email back to the inbox, the photos are still loaded properly. But if I click on another folder and then back to the Inbox, the blue question marks are back...

In this case, the email was from my iPhone.
I have WIN 8 OS and outlook.com account.  When I open photo attachments, how can I return directly to source e-mail message?  There does not appear to be a link back to original message from the photo.  Some document attachments display an "x" in upper right portion of screen which can be clicked on to return to original message but I do not find this with photos.  Suggestions would be most appreciated.  Thanks.
I have numerous emails that have photo attachments but I cannot now download these into my photo folders, to use at a later date as desktop background

The details are as explained.

This has existed for many weeks.

I ask for help.

Hopefully no blocking in answers.

The problem occured when I tried to send a photgraph to my cousin in Texas. Since Windows 7 I've never really been able to successfully send photo attachments with an email. No problems with Outlook Express but no joy with Windows7.

The error message tells me to delete and start again - but I can't find the original to delete it. Maybe being 77 years old has something to do with it. I would very much appreciate any help you can offer.
