When using Windows Photo Gallery the only folders I am allowed to access are My Pictures or My Videos.

While I do keep my complete photo collection on My Pictures on my desktop, I also keep a subset of these photos on One Drive so that they are available to third parties and  on my laptop. I am able to access One Drive photo folders using Windows Explorer or Skydrive.com but these are not available on Photo Gallery which, as mentioned above, seems to be restricted to My Pictures

Is there any change I can make to allow One Drive folders to be seen on Photo Gallery?

I have tried finding a forum for this but have been unable to do so.  The selection I had to select is NOT correct but you do not have an option for what I need - help with the LIBRARIES on my computer - Toshiba Satellite, Windows 7.

I think MS updates before but this time it has made it impossible for me to function.  I can no longer access My Documents or My Pictures and see photo folders or document folders.  3/4 of the window is covered and has nothing but a cartoon image designed for children - on the photo page it isp of a computer monitor and on the document age it is of a document.  Above this is a fraction of a thumbnail icon or 3 lines from the list of documents. This makes it impossible to access any of my photos or documents.  What was the purpose of this?  This has made this computer virtually useless for anything other than web surfing or social chatter - I need help and would appreciate an explanation. Something similar happened a few months back - all the photo folders and photos in my Adobe folder (downloaded using the Adobe downloader) disappeared to reappear in My Documents but in a form that made them useless.  I did have folders and sub folders that I could go to instantly.  Not any more. WHY?????

I have numerous emails that have photo attachments but I cannot now download these into my photo folders, to use at a later date as desktop background

I click on photo gallery. The last file I looked at usually is reloaded. Just that one file. I look at the strip for steps to review all folders and I can't find it. I would like the steps to display all photo folders in photo gallery. Big issue for me. Thank you.

Minor issue for me --- Another issue: I get the persistent dialog box regard a yes no display question using JRX image. It is unresponsive to the checkbox regarding do not show again. What is the purpose? What is the fix?

I created 8 photo folders on my Acer Aspire laptop and uploaded to SkyDrive.  When I open the SkyDrive photo app on my Samsung Galaxy phone or tablet only 3 folders are showing.  I hit refresh but no change.  Any suggestions?

Original title: Unable To Open Photo Gallery

I have recently started to have a problem opening photo gallery and my photo folders appear to be missing.  I initially received the error message 0x80070003. I then uninstalled in reinstalled windows essentials, but are now getting the following message "One or more folders included in photo gallery is offline and is preventing photo gallery from starting.

Either remove offline folders from photo gallery using windows explorer or make sure that all folders are online and try starting photo gallery again"

I checked and there does not appear to be any offline folders, and am at a loss to what to do next.  At this stage I am unable to open any photo folders.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
