- Google Chrome browser used (cannot find a version number- help?).
- Windows 7 operating system. Microsoft Security Essentials - most recent updates installed.
- Use the free version of CCleaner, updated May 24, 2013.
- My Outlook account was hacked about a month ago. I have had this account for MANY years - started as a Hotmail account. I changed my password to a more complex one after the hacking, and it worked after a little effort. Password was sent to my secondary email account (non-Outlook).
- I have received 2 emails from my own account: *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. After the first, I changed password since I figured I'd been hacked. For about a month things seemed okay. I received another from my account in the past couple days. Does this mean they still have access to my account/computer files?? Unfortunately, I reported both as phishing scams to Outlook & the message then disappears from my system.
- Thank you for any assistance given.
Hi,
I have tried many times to delete my account and always ended up giving up.
When I go to the link to close my account I am redirected to deactivate my Outlook account and from there I am supposed to cancel my billing service. I am using the free account and there is nothing to cancel. I don't have any recent transactions or subscriptions nor payment options.
Can you please delete this account for me?
thank you and best regards
Hi,
I have been trying to recover my Outlook account for almost 3 weeks. I have filled in the security form several times but no luck and the only reply I get from the Escalations Team is that they are working on the issue. I could not find any live person to chat to.
Does anyone know what else can be done to recover account?
