I have been syncing my outlook contacts via iTunes. With this latest update, there is no longer an option to sync with Outlook.  Has anyone figured out a way to do this since sync services is not working?

I am experiencing a curious mulishness with my Outlook for Mac and would appreciate any useful feedback on what to do about it. I have a MacBook Pro laptop computer, running OS X Mavericks, v. 10.9.2. I bought the Office for Mac 2011 suite and have Outlook for Mac, v. 14.3.9, installed. Since the OS X update to Mavericks in 2013, using Apple's Mail app with Gmail got to be too much trouble, and I started using Outlook for Mac as my e-mail client earlier this year. It does a pretty good job for me, in general, but there's one thing I've noticed lately that bugs me.

I am not sure whether this contact's birthday is a datum that I transferred to Outlook from Apple's Contacts app with a .vcf card or whether I input the date manually in Outlook, but for some reason, I ended up with the wrong day of the right month and year, and every time I try to change it and to save the change, Outlook for Mac won't accept the new date but instead reverts to the incorrect one. I've tried deleting the birthday entirely, and it will let me do so, but then when I try to put in the correct date later, it does the same thing all over again. I keep telling it that the date I want to store is the 10th, but it persists in showing the 1st. I have experienced the same kind of thing with other contacts' birthdays. What's up with that?

Hello, I work in IT for my company, and have a brand new MacBook Air, running OS X Mavericks, and Office for Mac 2011, that I am testing for deployment to a user.  It's our only Mac in our enterprise environment, a one off.

The problem I'm having is when opening Outlook 2011.  I can successfully setup and add an exchange account in Outlook 2011 connected to our Exchange 2010 server.  After that, each and every single time I open Outlook 2011, it will open, show my inbox/standard screen, and literally sit there for 3 mins.  I can't do anything, click on menu items, scroll, new email, nothing.  It will just hang.  After 3 mins or so, the program seems to work fine.  I've searched the internet, restored the MacBook Air, reinstalled Office 2011, I've even tried different user accounts and setup their exchange accounts in Outlook, with little to no mail, thinking that may be the problem.  But it will hang no matter what.  I'm also waiting on a contact back from the local Apple Store's Business Department, though I doubt they will know...

Please help!

Thanks,

Mike K

Hi,

I've just updated my macbook air to OS X Mavericks. I have always been using Office for Mac 2011 and everything worked fine. however after the upgrade, I can't open Outlook while the other application such as Excel and Word and Powerpoint can ALL be opened properly. I have no idea why. Has anyone ever come across the same issue? This has just happened recently.

Thanks!

Erin
Have used migration assistant to populate a new macbook air.  Both were updated to Os X Mavericks 10.9.1 before migration.  I have purchased another WPX&O from microsoft and used the key to get office running.
The problem is that when I type in a name or other search term into the search box for my contacts it returns no items found.
It will find new names that have been put in since the migration.
