The send/receive function does not download all emails from the server to my mac.  As such I am missing vast numbers of emails.  This is a particular problem when I move location and it will not download email that I have received whilst mobile.  It synchronises in the office and then when I return home it will download mail received after I have arrived but nothing in the intervening period.
I am running Office for Mac 2011 on Mac OS X Lion — all updates installed.

I have two problems and have already uninstalled and reinstalled Office with no success.

Problem 1: cannot access auto-update server. I have applied a successful workaround, which is to create a new user and run auto-update from there. I assume this will continue to work, but suggests something is still corrupted in my main user id.

Problem 2: I cannot use Outlook. Immediately on starting Outlook I get the message "You do not have write access to the Outlook application folder". The message goes on to suggest removing the identities folder from the application folder, and refers to a read me file. This advice is not sufficient for me, and I can find no readme file, other than one that has some general blurb about support and activation.

Thanks for any help,

Roger

Hi everyone, I wonder if you can tell me how I get Office on MAC to read a Windows NK2 file.  Any help would be appreciated.
My Office Calendar is duplicating entries, both past and future.  If I delete them, minutes later they are there again!  Birthdays are duplicating 4-5 times.  Why is this now happening after using Outlook 2011 for Mac for 9 months?  How do i fix it?  I'e already downloaded the recent software upgrade and that didn't work.

One  of my approved senders is my Scouting ounty Office but smartscreen keeps flagging the messages with this message.

This message looks suspicious to our SmartScreen filters.
