The answer they gave is incorrect because after deleting the email address as they suggest, it does indeed give you the option to create another address, but only ending in hotmail.co.uk or live.co.uk, but NOT a .com address. Before these so called microsoft technicians answer a question don't they try them themselves?
Does anyone know how to change back from outlook.com to live.com, NOT live.co.uk?
i have done every suggestion i can find on the boards. i go into my hotmail account and it's in arabic. i even tried google to translate it. there is still a warning sign in there and there is nothing i can click on to get my emails. i cant believe that after the malware attack i am left with this. is there someone who can go in and activate it again. i'm under the impression that microsoft or msn got rid of the malware. i've scanned everything i can think of and i cant find anything. i hate to be a pain but i'm 71 and on hospice and need to pay my bills thru my hotmail and msn.
With this Applescript I can get the user name from Outlook:
tell application "Microsoft Outlook"
get the user name of exchange account 1
end tell
result--> username
But in the Outlook Account it reads:
ADDOMAIN\username
If I use Applescript to enter a user name it just appends the user name to the ADDOMAIN\ text
tell application "Microsoft Outlook"
set the user name of exchange account 1 to "username2"
end tell
In Outlook account settings will result in:
ADDOMAIN\username2
Is there any way to clear this invisible text using Applescript? I need to deploy this to 1000+ users so using Applescript is the preferred method vs. going to each user's computer individually.
does outlook 2011 support 2 exchange accounts in the same profile ? as Microsoft outlook 2010 does !
It won't addmy outlook.com account using Auto Account Setup - that produces the message "An encrypted coonection not available", so I click Next and then get the red cross when it tries the unencrypted approach.
And nowhere can I find the manual settings I need by following the supposed instructions Microsoft gives when I log into my account using web mail. The Options gearwheel doesn't produce the response that the videos say it will.
