My msn messenger 2011 was working perfectly fine, until I had some updates for my windows. I came back and the date and time was changed and all my contacts on msn are offline when they are actually online. I have seen the tip to erase the file in :

C:\Users\<Windows logon name>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live\Contacts

But what to do when the
AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live\Contacts doesn't exist on the computer?
Não consigo acessar meu antigo e-mail, recebo a seguinte mensagem: essa conta da microsoft não existe. Como posso recuperar minha conta? Por que isso ocorreu?
Hi - I am using Microsoft Outlook for Mac Apple; I shut down my Mac because of a frozen programme and when I re-opened all my emails accounts, emails and contacts had vanished. They seem however to be somewhere as they appear in 'my all files'. When clicking on a email file there I get the message: 'outlook cannot open the file because it is not associated with the default identity'.

I have seen the below tips on the net to resolve this problem but don't know which 'option' key I am suppose to use in point 2.
  1. Close Outlook.
  2. Press Option and click Outlook in the Dock - this will open a Microsoft Database Utility window.
  3. If you have more than one identity in the list, choose one that isn't bolded.
  4. Click
, and choose Set as Default.
  5. Close the window, and start Outlook.
 Thanks,

Caroline

I agree with others that managing Contacts is very poor in Microsoft products.
An address book is one of the most important elements yet should be the simplest to manage.
I have ended up with duplicates, triplicates etc and retrieved email addresses and the "3 at a time" merging is a nightmare.

I exported contacts as a csv to Excel and with a few formulae combined or deleted them quickly and easily.

Now, can I empty my Contacts and import this CSV?
I cannot see where to delete all contacts. There must be a way to do this surely?!

Anyone any ideas?
Cheers
