I just purchased "Office for Mac - Home 2011. It downloaded on my desktop but it did not make the Neo Office operational. I had just upgraded my software to MacOSX 10.9. It should work but I still get a warning on my Neo Office. What can I do now?

Yesterday I bought Microsoft Office for mac 2011.
I have problems. I want to pass ical data from mac to outlook. The program Outlook don´t give me the possibility to convert it into outlook file.
Please, I need help in this question.

Trying to put massive email folders from old PC on new Apple laptop w/ Microsoft Office for Mac (latest version).  Get message and sounding bell that "Gmail; folder contains excess whitespace (Failure).  Went on-line and appeared fix was to download and install Update for Outlook.  Downloaded but when trying to install it will not let me as it says i do not have the correct software?"Office 2011 14.3.4 update can't be installed on this disk. A version of the software required to install this update was not found on this volume"?
When I bought my new MacBookPro, I bought Microsoft Office for Mac Home and Student, which does not include Outlook. Yet Outlook has shown up in my Dock, and I can't remove it. Why is it there if I didn't buy it, and why can't I remove it from my Dock?
Opening Outlook (Microsoft 2011 for Mac) gives a window Microsoft Office for Mac with "mise à niveau de l'identé" and "mise à niveau des messages" but it is blocked or at best it takes up to 5 minutes to boot.
What to do? I can't open it

I'm running the newest Microsoft Office for Mac, and my Outlook constantly says that an error occurred and must quit.  I can't send anything from Outlook.  How do I tackle this with a Mac OS 10.6.8?

 I recently switched from Microsoft Office Windows 2010 to Microsoft Office for Mac home and business 2011.   I imported my PST files from outlook windows to outlook Mac using the import feature on the office Mac.  I had dragged and dropped the PST file from onto the desktop of the Mac before doing the import.  After doing the import my tasks lost all their formatting.  Bold / highlights / and line spacing all gone.  I can live without the bold and highlights, but my real issue is that I have years worth of information that has lost their line breaks so intead of being organized in a viewable format it is all jumbled together without any line breaks.  I am hoping someone has a solution so that I don’t have to manually fix this, it would take me a VERY long time.  Thanks in advance for your help!  

I have been running Entourage 10.0.0 (which I think dates from 2001) on a Mac Powerbook G4 with Motorola PC processor running OS 10.5.8.
I am about to buy a new Mac Book Pro with Intel processor.
I understand Entourage will not run on the new Mac beacuse of different processor architecture and I will have to buy the latest (2011?) Microsoft Office for Mac - with Outlook for Mac as its e-mail programme instead of Entourage.  All online info I have found on transferring e-mails and contacts from Entourage to Outlook for Mac deals with later versions of Entourage (2004 and 2008). 
Can I transfer from my older Entourage 10.0.0 to 2011 Outlook for Mac?  If so, how?

Incidentally, I have been told that documents created in my old Word programme (2001 version) can be opened and changed by the 2011 Word for Mac programme (in spite of the processor change from motorola to intel). Is this correct?
In Microsoft Office for Mac when creating an appointment the Location drop down menu is blank. How do I access all of the recent locations I have entered manually?
