There is some sort of problem when Outlook.com (or live.com as this account is) email users send to my mail server.  I just sent myself a test and, within 5 seconds, Outlook.com popped up with a DSN failure message.  I am able to send to gmail successfully.  Clients and partners who use outlook.com, though, are having trouble sending me email.

Meanwhile, no Microsoft mail server tries to connect to my mail server, so I'm seeing a DSN failure when delivery isn't even attempted.

What can I do to help resolve this?
Hi there

I am unable to receive any incoming mail from a clients business email account. The email doesn't go to Spam, or to Junk, it simply doesn't arrive.

This is also the case with several of my colleagues who all use Hotmail accounts, and appears to have started since the switch to Outlook.com.

The mail server of the company sending it is mail.propaganda.co.uk (It's an in house server, I spoke to their IT guy, who is willing to help if needed with further detail)

I have checked with them, and they are able to send successfully to my gmail account, and several other accounts around the office, it is just Hotmail that it never arrives at.

We have checked the domain and there is an active SPF record.

Any ideas to resolve this please?

Many thanks

I am not able to receive emails from our account. I can send them, but we seem to be restricted from receiving emails temporarily. Here is a message received.

Mail rejected by Outlook for policy reasons. The mail server IP connecting to Outlook has exhibited namespace mining behavior. If you are not an email/network admin please contact your Email/Internet Service Provider for help.

How can we fix this?

I setup a new outlook.com account using a custom domain. I ran a DNS report to make sure everything was compliant, but got dinged because the mail server was not accepting emails to abuse@mycustomdomain and postmaster@mycustomdomain.

I then created aliases for both abuse@mycustomdomain and postmaster@mycustomdomain and ran the report again. This time the postmaster@mycustomdomain alias passed, but not abuse@mycustomdomain. Still says the mail server is not accepting emails for that address.

Anyone know why the mail server is not recognizing or accepting email to the abuse@ address?

I use live. com.

On one of my email accounts I get the notice "This is an automatic notice from your mail server that your mailbox lacked
sufficient storage to accept the following e-mail".  I have deleted over 1000 inbox emails and I still get the same notice if getting someone sending me an email.

Hi,

I am trying to migrate to outlook.com server from Godaddy email server. I have been getting Pending DNS configuration status for more than past 24 hours. I also changed CNAME records for mail and calendar and they started working within 30 minutes. However, until I am not able to prove my ownership of my domain theworldreporter.com I cannot proceed.

Error Message: You need to prove ownership of this domain by creating a DNS record. Use the settings below.

I am aware that I need to update MX records in my domain registrar. I did the same copying from domains.live.com. While updating, Godaddy did not show any error. I have tried refreshing domains.live.com page every one hour since yesterday, but no luck.

I have updated Godaddy DNS zone file for

  1. Mail Setup
  2. Prove Domain ownership
  3. Server Trust
  4. Messenger Configuration

At the moment I have more than one MX records. Kindly help me with this issue.

Thanks and Regards

Hello,

my mail server currently got a problem with sending emails to hotmail.com accounts. My server ip was flagged in spamhaus.org database for not sending a correct header. I think this lead to this problem. But my ip was removed like 1 month ago and I still receive messages that my mail can't be sent.

Error code is 550 SC-001 Unfortunately, messages from xx.xx.xxx.xx weren't sent. Please contact your Internet service provider since part of their network is on our block list. You can also refer your provider to http://mail.live.com/mail/troubleshooting.aspx#errors.

Is there something I can do to resolve this problem?
Sorry for double posting this (in an old discussion and my own one, didn't see how to create a new discussion)

Best regards
