This phony email address (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***) was seeking verification through my gmail account – and as such, I’ve just closed my gmail account. This phony address apparently was using my gmail account as a secondary email address. This fake email is linking to my real Hotmail account. After I got tricked to change the password if I did not ask for a verification code, I went back into my hotmail account and changed my password a second time. What is going on and what are the steps which Microsoft ought to take to put a stop to this since I don’t know who is using this address and making it look like mine?
I have received email supposedly from windows live telling me that I have to confirm personal info or my account will be cancelled is this a fake or is it real !!
It gives me a link but the link doesnot work or it takes me to Bird in hand restaurant . It says I have 24hrs to confirm or I loose my account :(
