Since the switch to Outlook.com, I've stopped getting email and Private Message notices from a forum.  I've tried ALL of the things suggested in all of the threads, especially the one about friends and relatives.

They don't apply to me.  I don't have any rules or blocked senders.  The emails aren't in Junk email box.  They aren't on my PC.

I've communicated with the forum administrators, and they say my forum email settings are set up correctly.  They seem to think there's a conflict with Outlook.com and emails that are generated automatically.

This is true for 3 Outlook.com email addresses.

Please help me.  I really need those emails.  Thank you in advance.

When you log out of Outlook/Hotmail/Live there is no link back to email (to maybe login as another user)???????

When you go to your "email settings" there is no direct link back to your email???????????

More recently if you answer a security message you are once again dumped out of your email with no way/link to return

This only seems to affect UK customers (US response says its fine - but it isnt)  but it needs fixing - Its been like this for months & Its totally unprofessional

How difficult is it to put a link "back to email/inbox" on a web page???

Very frustrating when I create a brand new outlook/email account (for a PC newbie), answer the new security question and then dumped unceremoniously in the middle of hyperspace

I have not touched any email settings and have been unable to send email messages for the past 2 days. I get the following message: 
The connection to the server has failed.  Subject 'Re: Customer Testimonial' Server: 'smtp.sbcglobal.yahoo.com' Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0E Protocol: SMTP Port: 25 Secure(SSL): No Socket Error: 10060

I am using Microsoft Security Essentials Antivirus program.

When is Hotmail going to fix the settings to my email account?

I noticed the problem last Thursday, when they changed the settings on me. It took me awhile to open an email. It went back to "normal" later on.

Now, I opened an email. I hit the "Reply" button. It won't let me send a Reply, nor does it tell me where to type in a Reply. Also, it was taking forever to load.

Is there a chance that you could return my email settings back to the way it was (as of last Wednesday, September 5). It was working fine early in the week, till you guys decided to come in and make a mess of things. Whatever happened to the simple idea of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" ????????????????????

 

BTW, please do not tell me that it's my computer. Many people I know of are having problems with their Hotmail accounts (thanks in part to someone at Hotmail who made a royal mess of things)

HELP!  I can receive but not send thru Windows Live Mail.  I've tried everyone I can think of...must be the settings?
i use microsoft live email 2011. Comcast recently changed my settings without notice.  My email of course stopped working.  After several calls I got it working on my PC but cant seem to get email in or out on my iPad.  I know settings need to be changed but have no idea what to do
