Please note that I have been using Microsoft Outlook 2011 for Mac on my MacBook Pro.About 4 days back the program closed down abruptly and ever since I have not been able to start it again. On checking with the data I found out that all the files in the Main Identity have been stored as .olk files. Now I am not able to import these back to Microsoft Outlook again...Can you please help me with this problem?

Outlook, as of 3 days ago, has not been sending emails.

There are no error messages and the emails are being put into the sent items folder but are not being sent.

We found out when people I have emailed called about not getting responses.

We have Outlook on 6 Macs, only two of them are doing this.

I have checked all the settings and passwords and everything is correct. I have been looking at trouble shooting and help files and cannot find any information on this or what to do. I have contacted my web mail server and the problem is not on there end - so they say.

Help!

Hi,

My Outlook 2011 for Mac is super slow in syncing emails. I have 2000 items in my inbox and few sub-folders (not part of the Inbox folder) containing 1000 items each. When I send an email it gets sent instantly and when I receive emails that match rules, they get quick as well. It is only un-categorized emails that go to main Inbox are really delayed by 30min and more.

I can see constant messages at the bottom like: "Updating local folder" and "Determining changes"

Let me clarify few things before anyone suggests a fix:

1. It's not a network issue. Other devices on same network work fine.

2. I tried creating and new Identity and reducing number of items in inbox and sub-folders

3. I have late 2013 rMBP with 2.8ghz i7 with 16GB ram and pcie SSD so hardware is not a problem here.

What could be the problem? It's really annoying as I simply cannot use it for work.

Thanks

Dominik
I've been using Outlook 2011 for Mac on a Macbook Air for about 3 weeks and have four email addressees which initially appeared in the navigation pane, being expandable to show the Inbox, Drafts  etc for each account.  A few days ago they just disappeared!  I didn't consciously do anything to make that happen. I'm still receiving emails from all four accounts but I only have one composite inbox, drafts etc showing. How can I get the display of individual accounts back?

Thanks in advance
I have recently purchased a MBP and have set up Outlook 2011 for Mac, I'm facing some problems with the way I was using my Windows config vs. the Mac

I have two major e-mails accounts which I use for my company (using example domains below)

abcdefg.com (hosted exchange with my ISP)
zyxwvut.com (Pop3)

Currently in Outlook for Windows I've had both of these e-mails set up, and the pop3 e-mail delivers directly to the Exchange Inbox (data file), eliminating the need for me to store any mails from the pop3 account on the pop3 server or keep a local copy of the mails.    The same applies to sending items from the pop3 account.

I've not been able to find a solution for replicating this situation on the Mac and therefore assume it's just not possible, so as a workaround I've set up two rules to deal with incoming and outgoing mail and no mail gets stored on the pop3 on the mac.

However as the pop3 is my primary e-mail account for sending e-mails it is very time consuming and annoying to keep having to manually change the sender to zyxwvut.com, in Windows Outlook this was in most cases automatic when replying from the Inbox.  I've sent about a hundred e-mails and forgotten to change the sender to the pop3 domain confusing a lot of people.

I've tried to identify 3 possible solutions below - I would like suggestions on these or possibly any other solution.

Firstly, I wonder if there is a simple solution to this and if anyone has a better suggestion for my problem above rather than using the "Rules" to achieve what I need.  Any other ways to overcome the sender problem, 3rd party apps? custom rules? workarounds?

Secondly, I was thinking that I could possibly move abcdefg.com from hosted exchange with my ISP to Microsoft 365 Online and use "connected accounts" to get the zyxwvut.com account linked on there, however I cannot find from multiple searches on this forum and others concrete evidence to suggest if Office365 connected accounts work on Mac Outlook 2011 or not.

Thirdly, I could run Outlook 2010 on Parallel Windows?  Not sure exactly how this works, but my biggest concern would be spotlight search on my e-mail which is one of the reasons I switched over to the Mac in the first place.

Thanks for all of yours time!

I cannot find the option for read receipts on Outlook 2011 for Mac (Office 365). This one reason I wanted this product. I have called Microsoft and they said it is not offered.
1. Is this correct?
2. Why
3. Is there an add on to Outlook (either from Microsoft or 3rd party)  that will tell me if my mail has been delivered and read?

If this is not a feature on Office 2011 365 for MAC..... Microsoft please get this feature added !!

On my Outlook 2011 for Mac, when using my gmail account, it continues to ask me for my password after I have entered it. It is the correct password but it doesn't accept it. This is the message that I keep getting:

The server for account "Gmail" returned the error "[ALERT] Too many simultaneous connections. (Failure)." Your username/password or security settings may be incorrect. Would you like to try re-entering your password?

I only have two email accounts so I don't know why it continues to bring up this message. Can anyone help?
