Hi all,
I have created several contact folders in Microsoft Outlook 2010 (PC) which I would now like to share with someone within the same organisation using Microsoft Outlook 2011 (Mac).
I have added the relevant user as an editor in the permissions section, and have send a sharing invitation.
The sharing invitation just comes with a link with instructions as per the below:
File > Open > Other User's Folder...
When I select the correct contract, an error shows up saying:
Outlook cannot open the folder.
You do not have permission to open this folder. Contact <user> for permission.
I also tried adding myself to their 'People I am a delegate for' in
Tools > Advanced > Accounts... > Delegates
If someone has a solution for this, it would be greatly appreciated! It's working perfectly between all of the PCs so getting the Mac sorted would be excellent.
I had to take my MBA to the service center and they re-installed Os to the laptop. Before taking my laptop to the service I took a copy of Microsoft User Data folder (it was in the documents folder) to a memory stick.
Now I have got my laptop back from the service. I installed Microsoft Office 2011 from a CD to my MBA. Then I replaced Microsoft user data folder which was automatically created from the memory stick. All other programmes but Outlook work. When I try to open Outlook it says something wrong about the identity or version etc. I had guite alot of mails saved on my computer. I thought that all will be saved when I take a copy of Microsoft User Data folder. Any idea is it possible to find those folders/mails which were on saved on my computer, not exchange server? I also took a copy of user and library folders bero taking the laptop to the service. Are these on the computer saved messages located in Microsoft Data folder or some other folder? Sorry for my broken English. Ask if I am not able to tell my problem clearly enough.

I have a MacBook Pro (OS X 10.8.5). I have been using Outlook for the Mac 2011 (v. 14.3.7) for over two years. I have always been able to select a message and move it out of Outlook to file it in a separate folder in Finder. Suddenly, I cannot do this,
although I can still move it into a folder within Outlook. How can I once again be able to move messages into Finder folders? Thanks for any help.
have a Macbook Air with Office for Mac 2011 installed. Recently I started getting messages about needing to rebuild my "database utility", which I did---repeatedly. When that didn't work, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Office. Now when I
try and open Outlook, I get a message saying "This identity can not be opened with this version of Outlook".
Can anyone give me advice on this question?
Thanks in advance
Hi,
I am using Outlook 2011 for MAC on OSX 10.8.5, connecting to my work email/Office 365.
I have a very weird problem - every time I disconnect from the network and reconnect (through wireless) - My outlook gets disconnected and tried to reconnect (as expected). And in this process it challenges me for the password, but when I enter the password - it report authentication failure.
It doesnt succeed until I restart my outlook. Once I restart the outlook, I get connected successfully.
Again the story repeats. It is clear that there is some issue with Outlook app on my MAC, it will be great if any one can point me to appropriate solution.

Murali

How can one change order of signatures? thanks.
Hello,
I have the current scenario and would like some technical support. My peer is outside my network and he is using the following version for MAC:
Microsoft Outlook for Mac 2011, Version 14.3.7 (130812). I am a windows user. Is it possible for him to share HIS calendar to someone outside his network? I am familiar with sharing
inside a network, but not outside a network? Ultimately we would like to do the following:
1. Share Microsoft Outlook for Mac 2011, Version 14.3.7 (130812) with Microsoft Outlook 2013 windows.
2. Share Microsoft Outlook 2013 with Microsoft Outlook for Mac 2011, Version 14.3.7 (130812)
Any information would be greatly appreciated. Step by step instructions would be exceptional :)

I saved my microsoft data to my google drive before I reinstall my MAC systerm. And I download new Microsoft office to reinstall it.
Now I still can find the message in google drive in my computer but I just cannot reopen it with outlook, it is said it is not associated with the identity.
Actually, those emails I saved was from Yahoo China, which has stopped its mail service in this August, so the emails saved are very important to me.
Meanwhile, dose this will cause the problem that I cannot use outlook to reopen it anymore since yahoo china mail does not work anymore?
If it is still can work, how to deal with this?
I have tried to launched outlook with Option key, and there is only one default identity to choose, which means I do not need to delete any useless identity. But I really have no clue about what to do with this.
I wish there is someone can be my lifesaver, seriously.............
Thank you .
I've serached this forum, but I believe all references to similar problems belong to older versions of Outlook than mine [v.14.3.7(130812)]. I did try rebuilding the database but ended up with the error "your database could not be rebuilt [-18000]".
I thought "Perfect! ... I have a recent backup of my identity folder!" However, when I copied that identity folder back to the computer, I still ended up with lost local email folders ( ... and rules, signatures, ...), and a lot of emails as far back as last
year came streaming back into my inbox.
Why in this day and age can I not backup everything in my user folder on a regular basis and expect something like my Outlook identity and files to be reliably saved?? Of greatest importance are all the local folder that I used to save important correspondence that I hoped would be saved and backed up locally. I suspect they still exist in the original database which I duplicated--how do I get these back?
TIA for your excellent support!
