In my sent folder, everything appears twice. How do I fix this so everything appears only once?

We now know Mavericks removed sync services allowing the calendar in Outlook to push appointments to iCal which could be sync'd to other Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, etc).  In iTunes 11.1.2 the selection page was also removed forcing us to use iCloud.  Without sync services there has to be a way to sync directly from the calendar in Outlook to iCloud.  On PC's there is a download called the iCloud Control Panel - looks just like the iCloud panel in Systems Preferences on my Mac.  This will allow you to sync an Outlook calendar directly to iCloud.  My question is, on my Mac if I install this iCloud Control Panel will it work the same way as with a PC using Outlook?  If not, there doesn't seem to be a way to sync calendars from Outlook.  In the iCloud panel within SYstems Preferences on my Mac there isn't a selection for which calendar you want to sync to iCloud - I assume this applies on to the iCal.

[BTW with the aid of Apple Care I was able to recover back to Mountain Lion in order to maintain sync'ing as before the Mavericks install.  However, I notice if I install iTunes 11.1.2 even with ML, the selection page disappears thus necessitating using iCloud.  For now I am sticking with iTunes 11.1.1.  At some point I will need to update - hopefully this sync problem will be solved by then.]
I continually get an error message from Outlook:

The server for xxxxx returned the error 'Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.' Your username/password or security settings may be incorrect. Would you like to try re-entering your password?

This happens generally when i leave the machine and the screensaver starts, or when I open Outlook for the first time each day.
If I select 'Yes', the machine refuses my passwords, if I select 'No' the machine starts fetching emails again as if nothing has happened.
Clearly there isn't a problem with the names, passwords or security settings. This is another issue
I have set up the accounts in every possible way according to the various instructions and other information from other people's problems.
My Exchange account is not affected.
This is beginning to make me mad. Every time I leave the machine for more than a few minutes I have to clear the error messages on three email accounts.

Hi, Since upgrading to 10.9 Mavericks both Excel and Word (office for Mac 2011) are failing to show data in documents.  I believe this is a font problem and i had exactly the same experience when i upgraded Mac OS last time.

I have seen a thread on this today, and followed the suggestions therein.  namely to Open the Font Book application, Select all fonts, Validate, I then removed the fonts that were labelled as not working, to no avail.  I then tried the SAFE BOOT and this succeeded and both Excel and Word were back to normal.

However 20 minutes later, after closing and opening Excel and Word again, I am back to square one.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

How can I create folders in Outlook and can I bring them over from Hotmail
Please let us know when the 'fix' or upgrade will be ready to overcome the worldwide problem of repeated account connection errors in Outlook which began the moment we upgraded to OSX Mavericks on our iMac and Macbook Pro.  Thank you.
I have a default reminder time set for calendar events, but I don't get an alert reminding me of the meeting. It shows up in the list of reminders in Office Reminder app, but nothing pops up to alert me. Unlike in the Windows version I used previously.

The mailbox was converted (or transferred) from a Windows environment. I use Outlook in a corporate environment. Our techs say that functionality doesn't exist for Mac, but I don't believe it.

Thanks!
I really miss Entourage's "duplicate" function to create a new event/meeting from an existing one.  Is there any way to do this in Outlook for Mac?
I'm trying to write an AppleScript to set a custom reminder time for a draft event.  How do I access the draft event?  I can get "window 1" but it's a window, not an event.
