I've tried everything to sync my IMAP account (my website email account) to Outlook and it's not working.
All the information is correct i.e user name, password, incoming server outgoing server. I've double checked it so many times.
Any advice / help as to how i can start using my IMAP account from Outlook, in particular how i fix this problem?

Every time I reply to an email, Outlook 14 checks the spelling to all the text BELOW my own and If the message is a long one, It takes for ever.
I never had the problem with Entourage.
How do I change the preference so the damned things Ignores the original text?

I have just had my MacBook Pro updated to OSX 10.8.5. Office 2011 was reinstalled but it will not accept my product code for Outlook. Does anyone have any suggestions please. Also upgrading iWorks especially pages.
I have imported Outlook data from a Windows PC into Outlook Mac: 2011 running on OS X version 10.8.5. However, the individual tasks do not appear. Even when I add a new task, it does not appear.

not the contacts I marked with follow up...

I recently backed up my email before completing a clean install of my operating system.
After reinstalling Office 2011, i tried importing the olm file i saved before completing the clean install. I went through the process, waited 30 minutes for the file to import... yet i cannot see or find any of my mail messages.
Under the tab "ON MY COMPUTER" is an "Archived Mail" folder with no email in it.
Did the import fail? Is it the olm file?
Help...

The Attachment icon does not work, can I solve this problem without redistilling outlook on my mac?

Outgoing server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com port 465

password and username all correct.

I'm using Mavericks OS X 10.9 (13A603). Due to various reasons, I need to use Apple Mail to access my work's Exchange account. Tried to use the Apple Mail Exchange client, but it refused to display my company email signature on any email client other
than Outlook Windows 2013. I also found that this would not allow me to create folders correctly, so I reverted to IMAP access and this is now handling my signature and folders correctly apart from one issue.
Moving an email from my inbox to an Exchange folder puts a copy of that message into the folder, and removes it from the IMAP inbox list, however, when I go to webmail or Outlook Mac or Outlook Windows, the message is still in the Inbox. I've allowed it
up to three days to update and correctly show an empty inbox, but it doesn't happen. Although the IMAP inbox shows no messages, the Exchange Outlook inbox keeps the messages.
A) Email arrives in my Exchange hosted, but IMAP client accessed inbox in Apple Mail Version 7.0 (1822).
B) I move the message from the inbox to an Exchange folder, also using IMAP.
C) Apple Mail shows an empty inbox, signifying that it's been removed from the inbox.
D) The message is correctly located in the folder on both the IMAP representation and if I go into the webmail access portal or open Outlook Mac.
E) However, when I try to view my Exchange inbox via Outlook Mac or PC, or webmail, the inbox is still showing those messages as if they weren't moved.
There's a thread on the Apple Community (https://discussions.apple.com/message/20428894#20428894) where others are also experiencing the same issue with no resolutions being offered by the community so I decided to post a message about the issue here hoping
that someone here may know of a solution.
