i have outlook office for mac 2011 in my imac and my macbook pro, and the emails organization turns to be kind of complicated since I have to do it on both computers, I travel a lot and it is a double work organizing, cleaning the emails, etc.

I was wondering if is there a way to set up one computer  asthe main one, and any action that the second computer performs, the main one would see it. As an  example, deleting files or organizing them in their respective folders.

What does "save" do in Office for the Mac 2011 Outlook for email in the inbox? "Save as" is grayed out, and I understand that doesn't work in the MAC version, and I know other methods to save the file.

But, "save" is NOT grayed out, which should indicate it is functional. But when I click it, nothing happens. Does it simply not work? Or is the file actually saved somewhere?

thanks!

Every time I click on an active link within an email I get this message: No associated application could be found.
Any ideas?
Please could someone explain why and how i go about fixing the problem?

Many thanks

Tom
Hi all,

We are trying to share a calendar to a mac user (outlook 2011) with only free /busy info. This of course works on the PC side (and we have verified it) but when the user tried to open this on Outlook 2011, it gets a permission denied. After some testing, it seems that the minimum 'reviewer' level is require, but that give more info on the source calendar then desired.

Anyone has any information on this? is this a bug in exchange 2010?

BTW,we are running exchange 2010 Sp3

thanks in advance.
Hi all, I hope that the title makes some kind of sense, sorry if I have used the wrong terminology

My Outlook database has a problem, but using the database utility as requested stalls at step 4 [-1800]

If I create a new identify and basically start from scratch rather than try and copy folders one by one (trying to avoid the corrupted one) into the new database what affect would this have on my wife's working outlook when she logs in to her desktop account? Is there a way of preserving her currently working Outlook whilst trying to repair or start again with mine?
Many thanks
Doug

I've changed my account info so that my name appears correctly in emails that I SEND.

But on emails I receive, the name tag appears as "companyname companyname" "<*** Email address is removed for privacy ***>"

Very annoying, how do I solve this!?
One of my clients is using Outlook Mac 2011 V. 14.3.9, in French.

Since this morning, seemingly without her changing any setting, her inbox stopped displaying many messages from the beginning of the year until about a week from now. Current messages show up fine. And older messages show up too.

Somehow, when checking the filters, we discovered that if we set the filter category to “aucune” (none), then all the message magically reappear.

But soon as we click on the inbox, this seems to take us out the filtered search, and back into “default” inbox display, that omits many messages.

Also, I noticed that I clear the categories filter, instead of setting it to “aucune” (none), the inbox list also reverts to not showing up all my messsages.

Could it be that during a database rebuild, Outlook may have set by error a categeory called “aucune” to a bunch of messages, when in fact none should be applied ?

Other than that, I cannot figure out how to fix this very annoying problem. Maybe a database rebuild could help, but before I try that, I’d like to make I didn’t forget to check for something more obvious, like a simple setting or something else like that.
Hello,
when I push the S/R button, the computer not only synchronizes, but also changes the left section with the Email accounts in a way that:
- the Rolldown "Inbox" with all the boxes disappears
- it jumps into one of the boxes
- it can not be put back to the initial view (Rolldown "Inbox"). Or I do not now how..
Can anyone help? It started all of a sudden last week and the only thing that helps is quitting (restarting) the Outlook. Pretty frustrating..
Thanks for hints..
