One of my clients is using Outlook Mac 2011 V. 14.3.9, in French.

Since this morning, seemingly without her changing any setting, her inbox stopped displaying many messages from the beginning of the year until about a week from now. Current messages show up fine. And older messages show up too.

Somehow, when checking the filters, we discovered that if we set the filter category to “aucune” (none), then all the message magically reappear.

But soon as we click on the inbox, this seems to take us out the filtered search, and back into “default” inbox display, that omits many messages.

Also, I noticed that I clear the categories filter, instead of setting it to “aucune” (none), the inbox list also reverts to not showing up all my messsages.

Could it be that during a database rebuild, Outlook may have set by error a categeory called “aucune” to a bunch of messages, when in fact none should be applied ?

Other than that, I cannot figure out how to fix this very annoying problem. Maybe a database rebuild could help, but before I try that, I’d like to make I didn’t forget to check for something more obvious, like a simple setting or something else like that.
