When I click "Rules", the options are Edit Rules, and Apple. There is nothing in the box for "Edit Rules"

Exchange, IMAP, POP, Outgoing are listed to the Left, but that is the only thing in the box. I would like to set up some rules. Please advise.

Thank you!

I've just noticed another recurrent problem with my Outlook 2011 for Mac: I am trying to move a bunch of emails from one folder "Inbox" to a subfolder.

When I highlight the messages to be moved....right click and then "Choose Folder" the folders it allows me to move my messages to are folders in my other account: I have several email accounts and the messages I want to move are part of my work account; the folders it brings up as options for moving are part of my other account (personal mail). Is this something to do with sync'ing and my work account not being recognised or something? It's most bizarre.

Can anyone think of what is going on?

I'd move them via my server but on my server I can only be logged into one account (btinternet.com) at a time.

Many thanks....

BW...

I downloaded Office 365 onto my Mac (10.9.1), and was able to create my account. However, the screen looks like this, and I cannot access any mail at all.  I can drop down the menu items, but not click on anything in the inbox window itself - it looks completely empty.

I really need this issue resolved for my job, since I work from home. Any help is appreciated!

(And I have tried rebuilding my identity three times. Did not work)

We have one Mac client running Outlook 2011 who can no longer connect to their mailbox.  They receive an authentication failed message, and a prompt to re-enter their credentials.  The issue started just after we renewed the public cert we have applied to Exchange 2010.  All services appear to have taken the renewed certificate, IIS, SMTP, POP3, IMAP.  We have other Mac and Windows clients both internal and externally who do work still, as well as mobile devices.

On the problem mac, I have removed and attempted to re-add the exchange account for this user.  I've also tried to add another users mailbox, for both authentication fails.  I've created a new identity, but still have the issue.

I can however access this users account from another Mac, PC, and through webmail.  I've tried enabling basic authenication on the EWS directory, but no change.  Is there something that is being cached here?  I'm out of ideas, if anyone had any thoughts I'd really appreciate it.

One last thing, there are logs in the event log on the exchange server each time the client tries to connect.

This event is generated when a logon request fails. It is generated on the computer where access was attempted.

The Subject fields indicate the account on the local system which requested the logon. This is most commonly a service such as the Server service, or a local process such as Winlogon.exe or Services.exe.

The Logon Type field indicates the kind of logon that was requested. The most common types are 2 (interactive) and 3 (network).

The Process Information fields indicate which account and process on the system requested the logon.

The Network Information fields indicate where a remote logon request originated. Workstation name is not always available and may be left blank in some cases.

The authentication information fields provide detailed information about this specific logon request.
- Transited services indicate which intermediate services have participated in this logon request.
- Package name indicates which sub-protocol was used among the NTLM protocols.
- Key length indicates the length of the generated session key. This will be 0 if no session key was requested.

I was rebuilding my outlook identity.  Had what I thought was enough free disk space (15 GB).  Turned out, I was wrong.  The rebuild failed.

Now I have 200mb free.

The records being copied over during the failed attempt are sitting somewhere eating up that disk space?  Where are they so I can purge them?

I need to delete the copied records so I can get back to 15GB of free space.  Then I will figure out how to get a few extra GBs to complete the rebuild.

Thanks!

One of our users has lost their access to emails stored in their local folders, that is in the "ON MY COMPUTER" section of the sidebar on the left of the Outlook 2011 screen.

Someone "helped" them set up a new identity in Outlook in order to access an email address on a server used by a different agency, but they thought it was very awkward to have to switch back and forth between the different identities, so they deleted the new one they had created to use with the other agency's server.  When they switched back to the identity that they have used to access their email on our local Exchange server their local folders were no longer listed in the folder list in the sidebar on the left of the Outlook screen.

I checked, and the emails all seem to be in subfolders in the Data Records folder in their Main Ientity, but they do not show up in Outlook now.

I tried repairing the database, but the folders did not show up. They can double click on the records in the subfoldes and their emails show up, but since they have litterally thousands of emails in the folders, and the filenames and folder names seem to bear no relation to the subject line of the emails or the names of the folders they had them stored in, it would be a daunting task to try and open these up one by one and see if they could be saved out individually into a new set of folders. Plus, there is no guarantee that this wouldn't happen again.

Is there any way to recover this information? To get the folders and their contents to be listed in "ON MY COMPUTER" again?

Thanks in advance.

I've been having a huge problem and even the technical support guys I use are stumped!

I have a calendar in Windows Live that has always sync'd with my calendar on my iPhone-apparently because the calendar on my phone was set up as an Exchange account/calendar. I am now using Outlook for Mac and we can't get the calendar to sync with either the phone or WLM calendar. However, Apple have advised that if I can get Outlook on my Windows Vista machine (the one I use WLM on) I can then sign into my ??? (icloud or exchange account)?..go to icloud control panel and somehow sync them. Basically, the calendar that I want is sitting under my Exchange (heading) on my iPhone-I need it to sit under "icloud".

I don't mind not being able to use the calendar in Outlook (if it doesn't sync with anything)-I understand Outlook for Windows does more stuff than Outlook for Mac)? but I'd like to be able to access my (current) Exchange calendar on www.icloud.com so that I can start to use that calendar so that I can have access to my calendar on both my Mac and Windows PC.

Does anyone know what I am talking about:). If yes, you are a star!

I have yet to explain to my tech guys what Apple have advised and hope they understand. They were thinking I might have to rely on using my Windows Live calendar (via the "Live" website) on both computers but I really don't like that website; it's not as user friendly or smooth-operating as the icloud.

If you know what I am on about and can break down what I need to do step by step, I'd be grateful!

BW.....

Hello everyone! I'm experiencing some outlook problems and I need some help.

I've started last week to use outlook for my yahoomail account:

Incoming server: imap.mail.yahoo.com port 993

Outgoing server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com port 465

But I cannot receive any email and I cannot send any emails. It says: Outlook cannot connect to the server. Verify that your computer is connected to the network.

I am connected to the network so I don't understand where the issue could be!!

Please somebody help me. I've googled but I didn't find something that could help me solving this issue.

Thank you in advance,

Gianina
