Hotmail – cannot open/download attachments or view images in emails

Toward end of last week, I began having issues when clicking on attachments - you could see the status bar say it was downloading, but then nothing happened and no error message. Tried wireless and directly connected to network.  Same issue.
I then noticed that emails from business associates no longer displayed their photos or company logos in their "business card" signatures.
I am currently unemployed and have been sent documents to which I need access in order to be submitted for interviews.
This is a huge issue to me (and probably others).
I noticed a similar thread, 5 actually, that are now locked.  This has been an issue for some time apparently, even longer than I've been personally experiencing it.
Until now, I have merely tolerated this new Outlook - it has been a terrible experience to start with and now this may just cause me to stop using this product altogether!

What is the status and when is the solution to be implemented?

accidentally deleted junk mail

I accidentally deleted my Junk mail on 8/27/2013.  Is there any way to possibly retrieve this?  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you for any and all help.

Cannot Import aol contacts into Outlook.com

I have another issue that is pending stemming from a problem that may have been created by modifying the .csv file exported from AOL.com contacts, in an effort to import into Outlook.com. (its' a duplicating contacts issue.)


While I wait for that issue to be resolved, (it's been a month or more) I am trying to track down the root of the issue myself.


It all starts with Aol.com export utility.


  1. I export a contacts list to .csv from aol
  2. I try to import that untouched, unmodified, .csv file into outlook.com and the email addresses are missing.
  3. I see no way to "map" the fields, that would be very useful.
  4. So I am stuck trying to modify the .csv in order to make these contacts show up correctly.

I can reproduce this issue from any aol account into any outlook.com account.


This MUST be a known issue.


The fix should NOT be to modify the file OR to import the file into Windows Live Mail.

The import tool in Outlook.com should just work, and have the correct mapping functionality to insure that it works.


Is anyone else in the same boat here?


What is the official answer for what I am supposed to do to get my contacts over from AOL.com seeing as the export import is failing?

Have not been able to send or receive emails from otlook.  Where is official technical person that can help!!!

I cannot verify my account and the private support isn’t helping.

My altnernative email is no longer active and i cannot answer my security question because i forgot the answer from years of never needing it. I have tried the verification questionnaire but my account has been locked and needs a verification code now. I have been passed on twice to the private support forum which has basically told me they'll investigate it or make a new email. I have paid preorders waiting on my email with codes on the email. I Need this email back. what can i do?

I had created a very special account for my child when she was born and was regularly sending email on it , I may have stopped sending the same since some time now , when I wanted to do the same today I got a shock that the account had been stopped I.e there was no account with the username . 
Please help me with the same because it had very important memories . 

Will someone “please” tell me how to fix my outlook.com

 Outlook.com problem that has me so so mad that I can hardley type ...... I apologize if this sounds rude it is not meant to be however this has been 2 weeks and  heres  the story:

 I have windows 7 SP1  IE 9  use BING all are updated as far as I know

 from my BING screen I can  click on the words  Outlook.com

and my screen flickers  I see a tab with  live.com and a tab with  blank .com just flicking back and forth  going know where  thats when I click out of live.com or blank.com whicheverone is showing up at the time.....I never see outlook because the then I get that Outlook window that says  those horrid words....

  • for the record just today I lost count of how many times I tried again

 

 from my BING bar I can click on a little envie that represents Outlook.com  and I can "see abt 7 emails" I never see an opened Outlook.com screen only the drop down menu

but if I click one on I get the same reaction as above .. tabs for live.com comes up a nano second then blank.com

 once or twice a tab might show up with the name of the email sender I just clicked on but thats also only a tab for a nano second and Iam back to just the blank & live.com tabs  (there is nothing on the screen) and then.................I get the words
