NOTE: I had to categorize this post as a "Windows Live Mail / Sign-up" problem, because there was no category for Windows Live Domain Registration.

I am trying to register my domain for Windows Live under "domains.live.com". To do this, I need to prove ownership of this domain by creating a DNS record, which I have done. The MX record is successfully saved on the host server with all the details as required. However, when I click on the refresh button under "Manage Domains" it continues to insist that I need to provide proof of ownership (by creating the MX record...which is already done).

No matter how many times I repeat this process I can't get Windows Live to check that the MX record is there. I have also verified that the MX record is set up correctly several times, and I am convinced that it is, so this is not the problem -- For some reason, Windows Live is just not able to verify the MX records on the host server properly.

Can anyone help?
At times my WLM 2010 will not let me reply or forward  an e-mail. It will stop and restart. I have to start a complete new email to the person. Why is this happening?
When I look at my "Sent" messages folder, I can see the messages subject line, but on the two-line view, the email addressee doesn't display.  If I switch to the one-line view, I can see the addressee.  I can sort on it, but it doesn't display.  It is only happening in the Sent folder.  Other folders are fine.
I have a new pc which has Windows 8.1 and I am trying to use Live mail, I can send to individuals but when I create a group it will not send, always comes up with an error, how can I send group emails.... HELP

While I was trying to set up Live Mail, in one of the inboxes, it said at the bottom there were 10 messages, which was right, but only 6 were showing on the screen.

I tried deleting them and re-importing, but same thing.

I tried to uninstall Live Mail, and downloaded it again.  The newly downloaded version still had accounts I had put in before.  Seems like it should have been a fresh, clean version.

I uninstalled it again.  When I looked in "C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Local\Microsoft", the "Windows Live Mail" folder was still there, with the accounts I had previously set up in it.  Seems like all of that should have been removed when I did the uninstall.

Is there something I can do about this?

I was given a new Windows 8 phone at my company. Our company recently switched from Blackberries to Windows Phones. So far I like the phone, but I cannot sign in to download apps, updates, or do ANYTHING, because every time I try to sign in I'm told that I don't have parent's permission to do so.

I'm guessing I entered the wrong birth year by mistake when I first signed up. This was an HONEST mistake and I want to fix it, but I can't even enter my account to correct the birth date.

So, I decided that I will create another account on my phone and use that instead. Turns out I can't do that either since the username on the phone's Microsoft account CANNOT BE CHANGED...unless I reformat the phone or something. I don't want to do that because I want to keep my contacts, messages, etc

So naturally I came on this website to find a solution. I tried to ask a question in the forum. Guess what? I COULDN'T DO THAT EITHER!!! Why? Because I need to sign in to my damn Microsoft account, WHICH I CANNOT DO.

I created another account here just to be able to ask this stupid question, which there should be an easy solution for that I can find online and fix the problem myself, but there is no such thing.

I would like someone from Microsoft to help me fix this problem. Otherwise, I am going to ask my boss to no longer do business with Nokia Windows phones and return to using Blackberries. This is such a trivial problem that should be easily fixed, but I'm having so much trouble with it.

Someone please help me with this?
I cannot get my gmail account to open anymore with WLM 2011. Using Windows 7 Home Premium. It was working fine until recently. I have multiple accounts and they all work fine. I have tried turning off the firewall and anti-virus software, but still nothing. Have checked the settings multiple times and confirmed them with Google. I entered the same account information on a different computer on my network with Windows 7 Professional and it works.  Do you know what might be causing this?
I am getting the error

Unable to send or receive messages for the Outlook (name) account.

Server Error: 3204
Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE20003

on my Windows Live Mail account. I have three email accounts added and I have been unable to send or receive from the Hotmail or Outlook accounts for several days now. Conversely the gmail account I added is working perfectly. I have tried to remove and re-add my Hotmail account and it wouldn't synchronise when re-adding. Unfortunately there may have been emails in the Outbox when I removed it. It is currently removed.

I have run a FiddlerCap if you would like to take a look at it, Microsoft?

Dear Sir / Madam,

Good Day!

Refer to the above subject, currently I'm using my email client as WINDOWS LIVE MAIL 2011 & 2012 for my various gadget devices. Hence, recently I've subscribe with Office 365 provider, and thus, set-up with my new mailer ID, using client as WINDOWS LIVE MAIL 2011 & 2012. Well, no issues in sending and replying mails.

But however, notice that each time while sending-out mails, I'm keep getting read message mail immediately thereafter at my INBOX for each of the send-out mails, before other parties could receive my mail and acknowledge, since I've incorporated READ MESSAGE RECEIPT though. WHY? Please advise.

Thanks & Regards,

A.Maran

Hi all,

Currently I am getting an issue with using apostrophe in windows live mail under Windows 7 platform. I will get a ascii character whenever I use the apostrophe in Windows live mail. I was able to find a solution from changing the default font to "Western European (Windows)" from "Western European (ISO)". But this only solve half of the issue, because I am still getting the ascii character during printout of the email. Can anyone please help me with this issue?

Thanks and best regards,

Alex.
