Hello. I think that my computer is possessed.
I have Windows Live Mail 2013 or whatever the latest version is, got it about a week ago. Now, I have strange happenings. Windows Mail pops up and tells me that it is synchronizing and a few other odd messages that I don't remember off hand. It locks up for no reason whatsoever and I have to force kill the process. It even closes itself for no reason at all. But the best part is when it decides to unpin itself from he taskbar and/or the start menu.
Does anyone know what might be causing this?
I have some emails configured at domains.live.com.
Thank you,
An
I am A Student at University and am unable to send any emails from my talktalk account while I can receive without any trouble.
This error appears within about 1 sec of me pressing 'send and receive':
Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity.
Subject: [Subject]
Server: 'smtp.talktalk.net'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0F
Protocol: SMTP
Port: 587
Secure(SSL): Yes
Socket Error: 10053
I have tried changing the port and unticking/ticking this requires secure connection and have tried disabling my firewall.
I am 99% sure it is related to the University's Servers and not my Laptop.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

I really need that email to retrieve some of the following details inside. Is there any way to get it back?
I just purchased a new computer with Windows 7 and Live Email and cannot send emails. I can receive, but cannot send. I have contacted Comcast and they cannot help.
Please help!

I am running windows 7 with MSN and the McAfee Antivirus provided with MSN.
Recently I have been receiving a pop-up balloon to update "Windows Essentials", the balloon has a wrench and an "X" in the upper right corner. So far, I have just been closing this balloon without doing the update.
How can I tell what this update is for? Windows essentials is apparently installed on my laptop, but I do not know if it is really running or what it does. I tried to determine what Windows essentials is and it seems to have many parts so I do not know if I need this update. If needed, why would it not be included with the usual Microsoft updates?
I thought it might be for the Security Essentials, but since I am running McAfee, I do not need or want the Microsoft Security Essentials.
How do I determine what this update is and if I need it?
This question submission page is requiring that I select a Product and Topic within Windows Essentials - the only thing I know I use is Windows Live Mail, so I am just selecting this in order to get my question in front of someone.
Thanks.
