Regards Ouboet

i have not been able to send an email or reply to an email since November 12, 2012.  when will this problem be fixed?  thanks,  Kim
Running Windows 7.  Where does Windows Live Mail store it's e-mails on the hard drive? Outlook Expressunder Windows Xp stored them under the User under Local Settings.
contacts failed to load. windows live mail is incorrectly configured. please reinstall
I did an update a few days ago.  When I went to the "People" page in the Contact List I could get into the page, but the page erased all my contacts.  I can't even put in new or old contacts.  The only thing on the page is the 4 apps, Facebook, Twitter, etc.  I don't use any of those.  The page also has the 4 apps off to the left of the page and partically cut off.  I can't see anywhere that I can get the page to the other side where they were before.  Ever since the Contact List was changed to the "People" page things have gotten slower with the poor design of the "People" page.  I want my contacts back!

Receiving both comcast.net and gmail.com email accounts through Windows Live Mail and suddenly there is a yellow alert in the taskbar of my WLM

window and an error window telling me

An unknown error has occurred.

Subject 'before I pack my calendar'
Server: 'smtp.gmail.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0B
Protocol: SMTP
Port: 465
Secure(SSL): Yes

This is not allowing me to send mail!

I'm using a Dell Inspiron 5720...( 64 bit)

Internet Explorer 9

Windows 7 Home Premium,  SP1

Please tell me how to fix this without spending anything more than I already have,  and keeping tech jargon understandable,  please?

Thanks in advance

Hello, Everyone--

Though Windows Live Mail has my photo and correct name, recently
whenever I attempted to logon with the password I was using for years,
I constantly was sent an "Incorrect Password" response!

So I created a new password.
BUT when my *** Email address is removed for privacy *** floats up,
and I click in my newly created password, I get the same "incorrect" feedback.

I am pasting in right here what happens when I try to send or receive mail :

Unable to send or receive messages for the Live (marlem388) account.

Subject 'And Now What?'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x80048849

The host '*** Email address is removed for privacy ***' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly.

Subject 'weird'
Server:  *** Email address is removed for privacy ***Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0D
Protocol: SMTP
Port: 25
Secure(SSL): No
Socket Error: 11003

HOWEVER, according to my default email account with att.net,
my SMTP Server/Port Port (Outbound att.net) is 465--NOT 25!
My POP server/ Inbound att.net is 995.
There my SSL shows YES.
--And my Protocol Type is POP3.

Can some technically proficient person figure this out, please?

Thank you for your consideration,
Mara L. Cunningham

I have windows 7 and use Windows Live mail for my email.  I have put it through the repair mode 3 times.  Sometimes it will not open.  Most time it will not close and I have to go through the motions of shutting down to clear it.  Any Suggestions?

I repaired windows essentials, but this did not help. There is no malware or virus on the PC.
