I have one contact, my boss, whose emails to me do not show up in Windows Live Mail.  They simply never even get downloaded.

But they do show up on my Iphone, in the regular Inbox folder.

I have my devices both set up with IMAP servers, and use Yahoo Small Business for my email account.

This only happens with this one particular person.

thanks,
Scott

I was using my Outlook.com account to access my Yahoo Small Business Account via POP/SMTP for many months now, no problem.
A few days ago, my Outlook.com stopped receiving emails from the Yahoo Small Business Account, stating: "This account cannot currently receive email. Click Details for more info."
I don't understand what is the problem.
1) My YSB username and password have not changed.
2) I am able to send e-mails, not RECEIVE!

Thanks,
Malek
I have a paid Yahoo Small Business (not Yahoo Plus) email account that I want to add to Outlook.com as a send-and-receive account.  I originally configured this months ago and it worked fine for several months, until late July when it randomly stopped working.  Following troubleshooting steps seen in some answers on this community forum, I removed the non-working account and am now trying to re-add it.

I get the following error message when attempting to add the account:
We couldn't sign in to your POP3 server. Please make sure your username and password are correct.

Please note the following.
1) This is a paid Yahoo Small Business account, not a free account.
2) This is a Yahoo Small Business account, not a Yahoo Plus account.
3) The Yahoo Small Business POP server is pop.bizmail.yahoo.com (SSL/995) and the SMTP server is smtp.bizmail.yahoo.com (SSL/465).
4) The username and password I entered are correct.
5) Accessing this Yahoo Small Business account through the desktop Microsoft Outlook email client works fine.
6) Accessing this Yahoo Small Business account through the Yahoo mail website works fine.

I see that many others have had the same issue and a few seem to have gotten it resolved by posting here. Please fix your bug, guys, or, in the alternative, at least fix my account. =^)

Is there any possibility that Microsoft can work with me to get OUTLOOK.COM to work with the YSB servers?  I've been unable to use OUTLOOK.COM for my mail sync since something changed as of August 1st.

I do not want to answer useless questions any longer as I have in may other threads on this forum.

I will gladly pay money to Microsoft if you can fix this problem.  Can you provide contact information where I can go to get professional, effective assistance from Microsoft?

Thanks,

P

After almost a year of great service, OUTLOOK.COM is now unable to access my domain account servers at Yahoo Small Business since August 1st.  This is a paid web hosting Yahoo service.  The servers are pop/smtp.bizmail.yahoo.com.  The error generated within OUTLOOK.COM is:

"We couldn't sign in to your POP3 server. Please make sure your username and password are correct."

My user name and password are correct as evidenced by everything but OUTLOOK.COM being fully able to get my mail from these servers.  This includes my Outlook 2013 client on a W8 desktop and W8 Laptop, Windows Mail (from Windows 8), Windows Phone 8 mail account, SurfacePro (using both the client and the Mail app).  And, all the above use the same settings I've used with OUTLOOK.COM.

I've had quite literally a hundred suggestions from Microsoft sources on things to check, delete and re-add the account, change ports, etc.  The latest, from a "Level 2" tech from a ticket raised on www.support.microsoft.com is that "Microsoft servers and Yahoo servers are simply not going to be able to reliably communicate."

Can this be verified as Microsoft's position?  If so, then I feel like I've done the wrong thing investing so heavily in Microsoft Windows 8 products and I'll need to completely change all my OS, Mail and Phone schemes.  I'm begging for a solution and I would pay (in fact I have paid and they had to refund my money because what I bought doesn't cover the "free" OUTLOOK.COM service).

Help!

P.

Have an infuriating problem with Outlook for Mac 2011. I have 4 IMAP e-mail accounts set up through Outlook.

All 4 are with the same domain - provided by Yahoo Small Business.

One of the accounts is fine with very few problems. The others ask for password authentication constantly - sometimes to the point that you can't perform another action before the next error box pops up.

Yahoo Support thought it might be a security issue and to also log in via the webmail so that the IP is recognised - but this doesn't help.

What is the problem? It looks like Apple Mail runs the same set up fine. I don't want to switch but will have to soon as this is actually preventing me from getting work done.

It is driving me crazy.
