I can receive, but not send. It has worked in the past, but I can't pinpoint any incident that may have caused a problem. I contacted my ISP (Cox Communications) and we checked my settings. Everything is correctly set up with regard to my SMTP address, etc. They told me it was a Windows Live problem. When I attempt to send, the message sits in my outbox for several minutes and then I receive the following error message:
A time-out occurred while communicating with the server.
Subject 'test mail'
Server 'smtp.cox.net'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC19
Protocol: SMTP Port: 25
Secure(SSL): Yes
Hi,
I would just like to know what I need to do in order to be able to use my Windows Live Mail client with my Hotmail account. Do I need to upgrade to Hotmail Plus in order to be able to do this?
Thanks!
I was using my Windows Live Mail program to send an email. A box popped up saying "verisign internet directory service" with all of these different email addresses when I forgot to put the @...com after the name I was sending it to.
Why is this part of WLM? Why do I need to have access to email addresses of people I don't even know? It listed ten or twelve different email addresses, all starting with the same five letters.
When I googled the verisign internet directory service, I did not get much information...
