Whenever my screensaver activates it changes my resolution from 1920x1080 to 1360x768 and my images have a black border around them. This problem doesn't occur when I have the classic theme enabled but the reason I downloaded photo gallery was for the fade theme.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I am using vista 32 bit service pack 2. I had uninstalled windows live essentials and checked windows photo gallery but it did not uninstall. I tried to re download WLEssentials but it said it was no longer downloading on vista. I hate WPGallery. I just want my pictures back. It is difficult to share. I did not have a password for administrator rights when installed so I don't know how to get rid of it. There has to be someway. PLEASE help me with this matter. I am baffled at this point. The rest of windows essentials was uninstalled and photo gallery is not listed under programs and features. Plz respond.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi all-
I keep getting error code "0x88982F63" when I try adding tags to photos from a specific scanner. I am adding tags by selecting multiple photos, right-clicking, and going to "Properties". I then add them in the respective field, and click apply. Then, i get this error:

Thanks all!
I have a new computer with Win 8 updated to 8.1. I can't find anything and am trying to download an SD card with photos, and find there is no windows live photo gallery, you have to download it! I tried to do this downloading only photo gallery and movie maker, but they did not work, so I downloaded all windows essential, which I didn't need. Now I have all the components I didn't want and the two that I need are nowhere to be found. I tried to download again but error message says essentials is up to date. Anyone know how to find photo gallery???
I have a new Windows 8 ultrabook that has minimal storage - 100 gigs total storage, with only 27 gigs free.
I have all my photos on an external hard drive. When I want to view a photo in Photo Gallery, it wants to import all the photos. Well there is not enough storage space. So is there any way I can view/modify my photos in Photo Gallery that are stored on my external hard drive?
I have been very disappointed with Windows 8 and now 8.1.  The Windows Photo Gallery opens with an ERROR message and that is it. It is non functional.  Microsoft has an obligation to make this product workable.  I need a fix that a non computer literate average 58 year old can use to fix this fiasco!  This Windows 8 and 8.1 have not worked well since I got this new computer.  How about a fix that I can do?
I have two equal sized photos which I want to join together, one of the 'south bank' of the Thames one of the 'north bank' of the Thames in London?
Taken from the same location, same level view point, 'linking' the two 'banks' in the two photos is a bridge?
I have tried using 'Photo Fuse' to join the two photos create one photo, selected the two photos, ticked box in corner of each, it has failed to join them?
It is the first time I have use this 'tool'; so i may find the reason why it failed to join the two,, through TEP 'trial. error, practice'?
I am having this problem since fixing a Windows boot problem. I downloaded the wlarp and ran it with the cleanup option and then reinstalled
Windows essentials 2011. Problem still exists.  Any thoughts?

I have an older Laptop with Windows Vista.  It came with Windows Photo Gallery and has been good enough until recently when I got a different camera which is requiring me to 're-size' the photos before I can share them online.
Somehow I am not finding an update or actual Windows LIVE Photo Gallery program that will actually download.  Please help as my business is being held up!!
Thanks.
Linda
This may seem like an incredibly silly question but is it possible to download the original Photo Gallery (2006, that came with my old Vista laptop purchased 2007) onto my recently purchased laptop that has Windows 8. I am talking about the very basic program before it was updated into Windows Live Photo Gallery. For me, it did the perfect job - basic, simple and effective. I'm still using my old laptop simply to edit photos before transferring them onto my new one!
