I though windows live messenger was dead but when i updated windows essentials came up. I'm not sure so don't be annoyed if I'm incorrect but i though it became Skype or something like that. I wonder why i got it

Over the past few weeks now, i've been having problems with my Hotmail account, even though i successfully sign in to Windows Live Mail i can't seem to access any emails, they don't even register there arrival, it's only through Windows Live Messanger that i'm able to finaly view & answer them. My Defaults on my PC are set rite, i'm not doing anything differant to how i have used my account before when it was working fine, so whats going wrong ???.

i have windows xp sp2 v.2002 but with seven remix and i can't install windows live messenger in my computer , this message keep appear to me

Dear All,
I couldnt download windows live messanger. When i try it shows the error "C:\Documentts and Settings\gssjrich\Desktop\25309-672418-windows-live-messanger.exe is not a valid Wind32 application". I previously used messenger without any issues, but recently i installed skype which made all the messanger details to get disappeared. When i try to install again i face this problem. Please help.

 I would like to know "how to stop automatically-coming up Windows Live Massanger window".

 When I turn on my PC, Windows Live Massanger window comes up automatically.
So, I always need to close the window, before starting to use my PC.
It is annoying for me.
 
 I would like to use Windows Live Massanger from the hotmail website. 

 If someone know how to solve this problem, please teach me.
