I have a default windows live mail e-mail account and I have attempted several times to set up a second e-mail address.  Every time I do so I have been able to create the address with its own password, and send outgoing mail, however I am unable to receive incoming mail as I get a pop up window displaying the following message:

Unable to send or receive messages for the ********* account. An incorrect password was entered. The next time you send or receive messages, you'll be asked to enter your user name and password for this account.

Server Error: 0x800CCC90

Server Response: -ERR Authentication failed.

Server: ************

Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC92

Protocol: POP3

Port: 110

Secure(SSL): No

I have tried clearing the password box and retyping the password, but the box just reappears asking form my details again.  Why won't it recognise the password and how can I resolve this issue?

Since 14/8 I haven't been able to send emails, am receiving them OK, using Outlook with XP.

I have exactly the same problem.  I am using Windows Live Mail (Windows 7 Home Premium). Since yesterday, maybe the day before, my outgoing mail is stuck in my Outbox and I get an error box with ID 0x800CCC67.  My server says it's a Windows Update problem and I should do a system restore.  I've done this three times now, going to an earlier time, but it's still no good.  I'm receiving mail regularly with no problem but not able to send.  I eventually got through to 'Windows' and was told they were not aware of a problem and there was nothing they could do unless I subscribed to their premium service (£65!!!!)  What a cheek.  Can anybody out there help.  I'm not a computer geek but am certainly not a beginner.  Been using the same system for years.

I never deleted my first email from Hotmail Staff, Welcome to MSN Hotmail. It still shows up on outlook.com but the body is missing. When I first installed Windows Live Mail 2012, it initially appeared in the list but after downloading all the emails it subsequently disappeared. Why? And how to get it back?

Window live mail quit sending to at&t texting thru Centurytel portal, however stills receives.

Within the last couple of weeks, I have noticed that when I send a message to At&t text service, I get a reply that says unable to send for the past 4 hours, will keep trying until message is 5 days old.  I can send them thru Hotmail and they go right thru.  I can also send them thru the centuryel portal page and they go right thru.  This only appears to be with At&t going thru windows live mail on my CenturyTel account.  Other cellular texting messages appear to work just fine, example Verizon.  Here is an example of a return mail.

Note: I have moved the full message header of the email you have received in the private message area for security reasons.

 Any Suggestions?

Thanks Bob

In Windows Live Mail, I accidentally clicked on the Offline globe and it went off line.  I can not send or receive mail.  When I click on the globe again to go on line, a box pops up and asks me if I want to go online, I click YES, but it does not go back on line.  The box keeps returning and I keep on clicking YES and nothing happens.
Having recently re-installed Windows Live Mail after using Mozilla Firefox for a couple of years, I find over 800 unread messages listed which I can neither access nor delete. Some are 2 years old. Can anyone help please?

Here is the deal.  Client running Windows 7 pro 64 bit - uses windows live mail - Windows gets corupt and will not load - Replaced hard drive, installed windows, copied data from old drive - installed windows live mail (newest version) - email is working, all messages are there -  contacts and calendar are not there - I do have access to old drive but can not run windows on old drive so there is no chance of opening WLM and exporting -

does anyone have a work around that works and won't charge an arm and leg?

My computer was recently worked on and everything had to be wiped out and reinstalled.  I tried changing my password, but still can't log on to Windows Live Mail, (after I click enter, the log on window just pops back up).  My old password works to log into my internet service providers webmail (they said everything looked fine on their end).  Now I have the error message, "ox800CCC90: -ERR account has been moved to a remote system.
