Hi,  I am using Windows Live Mail 2012, Windows 7, and cannot find out how to delete contacts from categories.  When I choose a category (previously known as a group) of contacts and then click on Edit, I can only add more people to the category and not delete them.

Thank you,

Melita

In my case, I'm not as surefooted yet with Windows Live Mail as I am with the bells and whistles familiar to me in the web-based email site.  If I randomly use the familiar site after having installed that identity to my Windows Live Mail app, do I create problems for myself?  Or is it perfectly okay?

Over the past week I have encountered a problem in sending e-mail to groups in my address book. I am able to do so and then for some unknown reason I no longer am able to do so.  The condition comes and goes. When attempting to Send, I get a pop-up window stating:

"This message could not be sent

. Type an e-mail address for one or more recipients in the

To; Cc, or the Bcc box.

Can someone please tell me how to fix this problem?  Thanks for your help.

On my desktop computer (Windows 8) I get a message saying  "Your IMAP has not responded in 60 seconds.  Would you like to wait another 60 seconds for the server to respond?"  Error OX800CCC0F

It doesn't happen with our laptops, just the desktop.  Is it a Windows Live mail problem or a Charter question?

Thanks
I have one email that refuses to be deleted or moved.  I keep getting "An unknown error has occurred".  Is this email permanent?  It is from a legitimate sender with legitimate, but now unwanted, information.

All I want to do is delete a single contact.  I don't even know where to find the contact list except when I'm creating a new email message and click on the "to" button.  I can't find anywhere to delete a contact from that point.  Please help.

I'm running Live Mail 2012 on a Windows 8 machine.

Please, please, please, don't email me back just to ask me what software/OS I'm running before you answer the question.  That information is in this post already, and it just wastes time.  Thank you.

Live Mail has changed - it used to work fine in combination with Google as my default search engine.  For months, however, after opening Email, Live Mail will not permit sites to be opened.  It does not matter if the source is Google (I have a vital Alert ongoing for research there).  It does not work for Windows itself.  Nor does it work for legitimate government contacts, reputable corporations nor for contacts from good friends, long on my contacts list.

What is going on.  How can I remedy this?  I have tried switching to Bing, and it is such a weak competitor for Google Chrome that I have gone back to Google.  All I really care about is the answer to my question above:   How can I remedy this?

I am using Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit version.  When working with Windows Live Mail, I can receive fine, but when trying to send I frequently get a pop up error saying Windows Live Mail has stopped working and is restarting.  When it comes back up on line, the message that was trying to be sent has disappeared and is not in any folders.  I have tried repairing, uninstalling, & re-installing the Windows Live software with no change in the problem.  This included removing it using the CMD line method as well as searching all program folders to insure any left over files were removed.  Obviously I have one or more corrupt files, but how many and where they are located must be well hidden.  Any suggestions or recommendations would be appreciated.

I am using Windows Live Mail and after composing my e-mails, live mail removes all line breaks.

I remember there was a setting on Outlook but couldn't find the same on windows live mail.

I tried html and plain text formats but the result is the same.

Also upgrading and repairing windows live essentials didn't help...

Thanks in advanced!
