I recently acquired a new desktop computer running Windows 8 64bit. I have Live mail set up. Most days I am unable to open live mail. I have a selection of error codes 0x800C013B, 0x80070002 and 0x8000FFFF.1400.

These are stating the disk is full, unable to locate database, out of memory and data base has been moved. It regularly wipes out all my contacts, has completely lost everything I had stored in storage folders and for fun it takes everything from the deleted items folder and puts it back in the inbox carefully removing all the red flags I had placed. When the computer was set up all my emails and contacts were transferred from the old computer and it has wiped out all of that leaving me in a real mess as some of it was important.

I suppose it works properly about one day a week and is driving me mad. I have lost a lot of important information and email addresses. Please can someone help me to sort this out so I don't have to use horrible web mail.

I am using windows live mail, version 9 on my desktop computer.  I'm using an operating system windows 7.

While I am getting all kinds of error messages when opening and sending messages and most importantly, I can not send messages and they get locked in my outbox.

Thanks for any help you can offer.  my local internest server, Comcast was unable to help and directed me to Microsoft Windows.

Split from an old thread

Please help! I  have a desktop computer and a laptop. I use the same email address and user account on both. I need to delete my email account from my laptop only without losing my user account.

I use Windows 7 Home Premium.

My user name is the same as my email account.

I'm having the dreaded "A problem occurred while trying to open this message.  A problem has occurred. Please try again." error message while trying to use Windows Mail Live.  I've tried several fixes including the repair feature, complete removal and reinstall and still the problem occurs.  It's only specific to my desktop computer because I have no problems from another computer.  I'm able to see the email message headers but nothing appears in the preview pane and when a specific message is selected I get the above message. Please help!  This happens with all accounts within the Windows Live Mail software.
I have a desktop computer with windows xp & outlook express 6. I also have a laptop with windows 7 & live mail. I have the same email address on both computers. The problem is that live mail does not get the same # of emails downloaded. OE 6 always gets the correct # live mail may get less. Would appreciate any help you can provide to correct the problem. Thank you, GTSAZ

I recently acquired a Windows 8 (Upgraded to 8.1) Desktop computer and find that none of my Skydrive files show in the desktop directory even though they sync properly on both my Surface Desktop (Win 8.1) and my WP7.5.
I've noticed a number of users complaining that their Skydrive won't sync in 8.1 but in my case, it still worked on my upgraded Surface so I don't think that 8.1 is the problem per se.
I've noticed that Properties - Security of the Sky drive directory uses my Gmail address for me as a user as opposed to my Hotmail address which relates to Windows live. Indeed, the Surface uses my Hotmail address. Could the problem relate to how I defined myself on the new computer. If so, how do I convince it that I'm really the Hotmail guy also?
I just bought a laptop and got SkyDrive so I wouldn't be tied to my desktop computer. I was able to upload my current data to the cloud. But, when I save new files to the cloud, they are not syncing with my laptop. They appear on my phone and in the cloud (as accessed through the internet), but new saves do not appear in the SkyDrive foleder/app on my laptop.
Can someone please help me with the problem I am having with my Hotmail account. My Hotmail account no longer exists for some reason. my husband downloaded windows 8.1 free upgrade on his desktop computer.  it then requested  that he sign into a Microsoft account. in doing this, he somehow made my Hotmail account inaccessible. When I try to sign in, it says it no longer exists. OMG! Please Help
I have just downloaded and installed the subscription version of office (Office 365) for up to five devices on my new desktop computer running windows 7 Pro.  I had previously installed and registered Office Home & business 2013 on a new laptop running Windows 8 for my wife.  In doing do, I was required to create an MS account (to which I am currently signed into).  Without really thinking it through when I was in the process of installing Office 365 I logged into the account I had created for her.  Will she be able to use Skydrive or have I created a mess here?
I can't use my mouse on my desktop computer after installing sky drive for my nooktablet on it...how do I reverse that download with no way to move my mouse or navigate?
