windows live mail for vista-unable to download-no longer available??!!

help please!  had to uninstall windows live essentials after my computer went to be fixed-it said it was corrupt...and now it says windows live essentials and  windows live mail is "no longer available for vista"  !!!! 

i have now spent three days trying to get around this....and to no avail.  i go to the microsoft download site, i begin the install, and then it never succeeds and says error message, when i go to the help, it says no longer available.  HUH?  was never notified of this.

how can i reinstall the windows live mail program??!!

Why does installing/ uninstalling windows Live Mail stop OE from opening .eml files

I have OE 6.

Recently I decided to try out Windows live mail. However there were aspects of it that I didnt like. This included that the fact that when I tried to open eml files in OE they failed to open.

I decided to uninstall Windows Live Mail.

However, when I reopened OE and tried to open an eml file, the system couldnt identify what file type it was and wouldnt open it. 

In the end I had to do a system restore to the point at which WLM was installed.

Is this normal?  And if installing/uninstalling WLM causes these issues, I have to wonder how someone with less PC knowledge than myself  would deal with this situation. 

If I install or uninstall a program, I dont expect it to interfere or disrupt the operation of another application.


Saving a video received by mail to my computer

I am using windows live mail 2011 on my Dell computer with windows 7 and a 64 bit system. I have received a video that I would like to save to my library on my computer, I have not been able to do this. I need help and detailed instructions. I can save it to a folder within the windows live mail, but no where else. Please help. Thanks ( I have made a correction I am using windows live mail 2011, not 2012)

I am trying to set up Microsoft Outlook.  The connections are all okay but the send test email message fails.  I get:
Send test e-mail message: The specified server was found, but there was no response from the server.  Please verify that the port and SSL information is correct.  To access these setting close this dialog, then click More Settings and click on the Advanced tab.

The port and SSL are correct so now what do I do?

I am trying to set up Microsoft Outlook because Windows Live Mail WILL NOT LET ME SEND EMAIL TO A GROUP.
When I set up a group contact and type an email I get a message that asks me to enter an email address into the To, Cc or Bcc line.  However the contact group is in the To line, so why won't it recognize that there is a group of email addresses there?

Very, very frustrating.

So, if anyone knows how to set up either Microsoft Outlook, or fix Windows Live Mail so I can send to a group I would greatly appreciate the help.

When Windows Live email opened yesterday my emails came through though my Calendar & Contacts are not there (blank Calendar pages – have a very full calendar of events)) / (6 contacts listed – have about 345 with a lot of data).  When it opened I got an error message of Error #  0X80048849.  After resigning in my emails downloaded though my calendar & contacts are the same as stated above.  I have spent numerous hours trying to regain my calendar & contacts with no success.  What have you done to Windows Live mail that caused me this problem?

Windows Live Mail 2011 not working

Have your Windows Live Mail repaired. The steps are provided below:

 

1. Go to Control Panel then click Programs.

2. Click Programs and Features.

3. Right click Windows Live Essentials 2011 then click Uninstall/Change.

4. Select Repair all Windows Live programs in the dialog box.

5. After the repair is done, reboot when asked.


Unfortunately I did all that was stated including rein I stalling the entire windows live 2011 and still not working then after reinstalling and being reassured by my server that all incoming and outgoing info is correct and after spending an entire day with my server on and off constantly still there is no solution to my problem. it was working fine 2 weeks ago I am sure of that but not having used it for a week and then trying to send an email from a webpage it would not allow me. Please if you have a fix for this would you be kind enough to let me know. Thanks liz   My email is *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

I have used Live Mail for a couple of years with no problems but a couple of days ago it would not load when I clicked on the desktop icon. I have tried repairing it, uninstalling and reinstalling but it still won't work. I have even tried a system restore. All to no avail. If I right click on the desktop icon I have a menu which enables me to write a new email, but I can't get to my emails. PLEASE HELP!
