Microsoft sent a link to my email of a reset password.
That was weird.... I never clicked on reset my password, so I ignored it.

 

Got another one saying click here to remove account.
Weird... Never clicked on remove my account...


Keep in mind I was receiving these emails on my blackberry.

At this point I wanted to play it safe so I did and reset my password using a different link from the sign in homepage.

 

Tried to sign in with my new password, it would not work... the security questions has been changed, tried to reset it using my alternative email... but that's been changed aswell(security question and password).

 

Tried to fill out as much information as I could on the alternative way of resetting password, they said I do not have enough information to have someone help me, even though I filled out every single questions except for the junk emails and credit card because I dont remember them and dont have a credit card and all the informations are accurate because I have them in my blackberry.


Now I only can send and receive emails from my blackberry, I dont have the access to both of my email address on my desktop.

this is a repost as Microsoft support is TERRIBLE and only give robitic answers from people with fake names like "ralph"

so here we go for the second time. Please don't send me a link to the microsoft support page as I have been there and done it 10 times that is why i am here asking these questions. What microsoft sent me doesnt work as i have been blocked from trying to unlock my account so many times.

I recently moved to the UK from Australia and was using my hotmail as usual and then all of a sudden it blocked me asking for me to answer my security questions or send an unlock code to an email. The problem is that I no longer have access to the alternative email and also I opened the account in 1999 and have no idea of the answer to the security question. I filled out the recovery form several times with all the info form my previous email which i could still see on my phone and it kept denying it then i did it again earlier after waiting a painful 48 hours after calling support. Getting on live chat several times. Then I get an email asking for me to just open a new account. I have had this account since 1999 and i have hundreds of accounts lined to this hotmail. I have currently 50 resumes with potential employers here in the UK that I am relying on this account for their response.I need help asap. email *** Email address is removed for privacy *** asap!

i want to change my security question because some one tried twice to change my password due to week security question...i tried the way explaind in comunity but i couldnt find the options.

I have had this same email account for 20 years and use it for business.  It appears my email was hacked.  I did the appropriate steps and answered all security questions, a code was sent to my mobile phone and then I was able to reset my password.  But I still get this error message:

We have a waiting period for the updates to take effect. On 9/7/2013, we'll delete your old security info:

Once this is deleted, you'll be able to verify your account with info you have access to. If you didn't make the updates, or if you still have access to the above info, cancel the updates.
 
I  USE THIS ACCOUNT FOR BUSINESS AND CANNOT BE LOCKED OUT UNTIL SEPTEMBER 7TH.  I answered every single security question accurately.  I do not understand why it is locking me out still. 
 
I've also spoken with 3 different Microsoft reps and they have not given me any assistance.  I have never in my life experienced such an issue.  I've had my email hacked and I simply had to reset my password.  To not have access to my email for 2 weeks is unacceptable.

My account was hacked and all of my security information has been changed so every time I try and reset my password it doesn't work. I have repeatedly tried resetting it and have now been locked out of trying. I also found a pone number online for Microsoft help and am now concerned that this number might have been a fake as the email I received from them doesn't quite look legitimate.
