Hello

For several weeks now, Outlook is displaying an error log with the following message "[ALERT] Message too large. http://support.google.com/mail/bin/answer.py?answer=8770"

This has happened when I've initiated the message from Outlook itself and I've been able to find a way for Outbook to appear so I can delete.  Now I'm not sure if the message is actually being deleted or not.

I suspect that these are email messages that have been initiated in iPhoto with sharing photos which are too big for Outlook.  iPhoto started up Outlook and tried sending the pictures but its too big for gmail and the message seems to be stuck somewhere.  Everytime I start Outlook the above mentioned error message is dispayed.

Any input would be appreciated.  This has been nagging away for weeks now.

Thanks

Hello,

We are testing exchange 2013 with outlook 2011 for mac and outlook 2010 for windows. We have 700 mac users.
I create a new account, give it a mailbox and lync enabled. On the windows test machines there is no problem for lync or outlook. All the users are added after a while.
For mac, the users are visible in lync after a while but for outlook 2011 this is not the case.
When i force a full OAB download like told in "http://blogs.technet.com/b/neiljohn/archive/2012/03/23/forcing-a-full-oab-download-in-outlook-2011.aspx" this is working. The users get a new "updated" file.
Naturally this is not a solution for 700 users.

I think the config of my exchange 2013 environment is ok because on windows i have no problem. Are there people who have found a solution for this ?
I searched the net, found a lot of people facing the same problem but no solution discovered yet.

I tried to submit this before but it didn't seem to lodge. I have a main doc in Word and a list with names, emails and amounts in Excel 2011. I did a successful merge to a PDF for review, and then tried to merge to Outlook email. I did a merge of the whole file, and Outlook kept aborting. I completely uninstalled Office Mac 2011 following Microsoft instruction, and reinstalled. I did a 1 record merge to Outlook and got the error message below. The emails in the Excel file are all OK; it was created by saving a Word file as CSV text, then opening it in Excel.

Any advice welcome.

Hello.

I have several Outlook 2011 users who sometimes send emails that show up with no body content.  It does not always happen so it is very difficult to figure out. This started happening about a month ago, at least that's when these users started reporting it.  Outlook 2011 is at the latest version (no updates available).

Environment:
Windows 2003 SP2 64 Bit
Exchange 2007 with SP3 Roll Up 12.
TrendMicro WFBS for virus scanning on the mail server.  I have turned off body content scanning thinking maybe it is scanning the content and deleting it.
Exclaimer Mail Utilities to stamp on signatures.

Please help!  Thank you.

Running Office 2011 on 10.9.1. I noticed lately (not sure when this started, but pretty sure it was when I updated from 10.8) that when Outlook is running in the background it does not check our exchange server for new mail. As soon as I switch to Outlook it queries the mail server and retrieves any new mail waiting for me.

I'd like to get Outlook to work the way it used to, where it checked for new mail in the background.

Can anyone steer me in the right direction?

Thanks!

Hi,

This is my first post. I dont have much experience with Macs. I've had a look through the settings but cant find what I need to use SSLV3. Recently we had our TMG gateway security increased to block SSLV2 as per this http://www.isaserver.org/articles-tutorials/configuration-security/improving-ssl-security-forefront-threat-management-gateway-tmg-2010-published-web-sites.html since then the mac users cannot access the our exchange when working from an external connection. The mac users are able to work ok when on the corp network as they arent hitting the TMG. Other users running Win7/8 with Outlook are working ok on and off the corp network. Webmail works ok externally as well.

I am trying to find out if there is a way to force Outlook 2011 to use SSLV3

I've checked the certificates and they are for Lync.

Thanks in advance.

Dave

MacBook Pro
OS 10.9.1
Outlook - 14.3.9 (131030)

I have spent days on the phone with Microsoft Tech Support over the last couple of weeks tying to get Outlook to work properly.
- Re-Installing Office
- deleting various library and preference files
- deleting emails (8MB+) from my gmail account
- deleting thousands of emails from POP accounts
- Changing Apple ID

All to no avail - and the damn program still crashes?
It was working fine before I updated to Mavericks 10.9.1

Any ideas here as to why or perhaps an idea that we've missed that is a potential solution?

Appreciate the help!

Hi everybody,

I'm a Mac user with Outlook 14.3.9.
As far as i know Outlook for Mac does nut support EAS, is that so?
Is there any release to update Outlook with EAS integration?
Suggestions?

I have lost my Outlook for Mac 2011- multiple email accounts and folders. I have found the Outlook for Mac Database but how to i reattach to Outlook and get my accounts, inbox and emails setup. Not sure what happend but Outlook for Mac removed all my accounts and inbox and emails. When I open Outlook just plain as in day 1. Not sure what happened or why since never touch anything but looks like had some corruption issue.
