I have Office 2007 and Windows XP. Outlook will not send/receive except in Safe Mode. Normal opening, Outlook just freezes. I deleted a lot of emails and it still will not open up. I can get on in webmail and Safe Mode, but not normal opening. Help!!!! I use my Contacts and Calender a lot.
I am on my desktop and have Roadrunner as Internet provider. I am not talking about Browser, webmail or my IPhone. This is the paid for MS Office 2007 program.
Hi,

I've always used SkyDrive in the past (not SkyDrive Pro) to sync my personal docs across my computers, tablet, phone etc.  I use the desktop client which acts just as a folder on my PC.  In the past I have been able to use my laptop offline to edit docs in the skydrive folder on my PC (just as if they were local files), and then when online again it would automatically sync the changes and I would have access to the updated files across the web and other PCs.  This was with Office 2007.

I recently however got Office 2013 on a new machine running windows 8.  I've got the skydrive desktop client on the laptop, but when I work on a file in skydrive while offline, when I save and exit I always get asked by the Upload Centre: would I like to 'discard changes' or save to a different location on the harddrive.  If I 'discard changes' then when I reconnect to the internet, my edits are lost.  However, strangely, if I create a new file while offline, save to skydrive and exit, and select 'discard changes', the new file does seem to sync to skydrive and hence across my devices.

The upshot is:  with Office 2013 and SkyDrive desktop client, I can create docs offline which will sync, but cannot edit docs offline to sync.

This was not a problem with Office 2007.  If it is an issue with the Upload Centre I would be happy to disable or remove it if there is a way.

Thank you for your help.
Hello everyone,

I run a small business in which email is the mail source of our business working. I own a mac book pro and have office 2011 for mac installed.
Most of the employees use a windows based system, so i also thought to switch over to windows platform (for better synchronization) as i have a dell inspiron with office 2007 installed.

Now the main problem arises is that i want to move my emails from mac outlook to windows outlook, which i don't know how to do.
Please help with some helpful solutions.

Thank you.

I have a four yr old Sony all in one running Vista and Office 2007.  I have a new iMac with Office for Mac 2011.  What is the best way to migrate from the Sony to the iMac? It's my first mac.

I'm concerned about Outlook- it is enterprise, but there are multiple subsets of folders on my local C drive.

Same question for Word.  How to get all the sub folders to migrate from My Documents, Library?

Thank you for your help.

Hello, my boss has a mac and is using office 2011 for it. I am using outlook 2007 on a windows machine. Is there any way for me to create a distribution group from my machine and send it to his? He has shared his contacts with me and i am able to search the people i need and create a group but when i send the distribution group to him via email it is unrecognizable and he cant drag it to his contacts. Do you have any suggestions on how I can create this group so he can see it in his contacts? Thank you.

Hi,

We are thinking of getting an iMac (presumably with OS X Mountain Lion) and Office 2011 with Outlook 2011. There are many postings about synchronising Outlook Calendar with iCal on the iMac and also with iPhone/iPad. Also synching with Google Calendar. I currently run XP with Office 2007 (Outlook 2007). I can sync with Gcal and my ipad with Gcal so calendars are up to date.

This might be a naive question... is it possible to syncrinise the Outlook 2011 Calendar with iCal and (perhaps indiretly via iCal) to my Google Calendar?

I have seen postings like the ones below and am confused. If the Outlook Calendar Synching won't work then the iMac option needs a rethink. (Please, I'd just like the synching question addressed rather than and iMac versus another hardware platform as the answer to the question may deliver other considerations)

Kind regards

Mike
