Bear with me while I try and explain / walk through this scenario.  I've tested this 100+ times, with every imaginable condition, and am able to reproduce this problem consistently.

Issue: Using Outlook for Mac 2011 on OS X Mountain Lion (10.8), when composing a new message, when a signature (plain text or html) is inserted, either automatically (default signature), or manually (via dropdown menu / button), if I continue to type where I left off and press the the space bar, the cursor / window will lose partial focus, and further key presses result in the system bell chiming.  At that point, I can click my mouse pointer back in the message body and regain focus.

My System:
Mac OS X Mountain Lion (10.8)
Outlook for Mac 2011 Version 14.2.3 (120616)

Steps to reproduce:

1.  Open Outlook for Mac 2011
2.  (If not done already) create a signature
3.  Create a new email message
4.  In the message body, type some text
5.  Insert signature
6.  Without moving the cursor, type some text that includes a space
7. Once the space bar is pressed, some elements of the window (i.e. font styles, paste icon) will lose focus / be greyed out.
8. Focus can be regained by clicking mouse into the message body.

This can be reproduced within the same message by simply inserting another signature.  Again following the same steps (6-7) the focus will again be lost.

Let me know if I can provide additional information on this.

Thanks,

Jaren

Hi, my windows live messenger contacts appears offline after i synch with my new phone.when i scroll my mouse over to see the contacts, their network appear as Facebook. Also when i click on the "offline" contacts they bring me to facebook and not pop up the messenger to type to the supposingly offline person. Previously i had installed avast anti theft and i accidenly removed the sim card, and they prompt me lost phone, and asked me to type in my pin which i did successfully. I dont know if that application auto block my messenger or what, but its still working fine before i switch my phone. I have also installed mercury msn for my android device which also show only my facebook contacts. Also i tried logging in my messenger with another computer but all the contacts still appear as offline, only difference is that if i use another computer to sign in, i can only see my facebook category friends( all are offline as usual, but online in facebook website) and all my other contact groups are missing from that computer. Can anyone help me?

I have tried:
-removing the messenger cache

-repairing from control panel> program and features

When I right mouse click to add a new calendar event to Outlook 2011, I enter all the information and then hit "Save" and yet the calendar event does not get saved. I am connected to our Exchange server, but don't think that is the issue. If I add a calendar event on my iphone, it will show up on my Mac, but I can't enter anything directly on the new MBP. Weird. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!
when I open my email the espn ad takes over the field and bumps me out of my account.  I am not even moving my mouse and it will happen

Hi!

Is there any way to assign global hotkeys in Messenger? I'm currently using both Miranda IM for sending messages and Messenger for Video Chat.

This is not an ideal setup, but I really don't like using the mouse except for internet browsing.

The one thing that keeps me from moving from Miranda IM to only Messenger is the fact that I have to use the mouse/alt+tab to Messenger when a message arrives.

In Miranda I only hit CTRL+SHIFT+M (or whatever keys I chose) and the first message in the "inbox" is shown.

I really really really miss global hotkeys in Messenger, can this be achived with a plugin? If no such plugin exists, would it be possible to write one?

I.e. is there a public API that can be used to achive this logic?

Best Regards
