I installed windows live messenger 2009 build 14.0.8117.416. It works ok but when i video chat i get no image of me. There is large red X where my image should be. My chat friend does get my image, and i get theirs. I am running windows xp up to date. Chat cam works fine in yahoo.

I have no sound on Video Chat with MSN and no problem with all other programs

I installed MSN and everything is working

Only when I want to make a video call I have no sound

I checked the microfone and it is working, I tested in MSN and there is movement in the soundbar

I tested with another micem, same result

I tryed with Skype, no problem

All other programs working with mice are working fine

I repaired windows essentials, no solucion

Checked a lot of websites and found a lot of people with this problem

What is the solution?

(using only Skype on this moment)

People List – uninvited names

The following showed up at the bottom of my people list when I click on To for addresees when composing a New email. I did not put them there and I do not know how to delete them. Maybe they also have access to my account that I did not give permission for. Could you delete them or tell me how to? Thank You: Girls Gone Chat, KinkyChat

Hi!

 

Is there any way to assign global hotkeys in Messenger? I'm currently using both Miranda IM for sending messages and Messenger for Video Chat.

This is not an ideal setup, but I really don't like using the mouse except for internet browsing.

 

The one thing that keeps me from moving from Miranda IM to only Messenger is the fact that I have to use the mouse/alt+tab to Messenger when a message arrives.

In Miranda I only hit CTRL+SHIFT+M (or whatever keys I chose) and the first message in the "inbox" is shown.

 

 

I really really really miss global hotkeys in Messenger, can this be achived with a plugin? If no such plugin exists, would it be possible to write one?

I.e. is there a public API that can be used to achive this logic?

Hi,
I've been having some problems with the chat history.
Normally, the files would be named according to the e-mail (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***), but on my new laptop they're being saved with a big number instead of @hotmail.com (examplexxxxxxxxxxxxx). Now this doesn't bother me, but some e-mails ending with .number (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***) are being saved as example.96xxxxxxxxx. So Windows mistakes the .96xxxxxxxxxx as the file type, and hence I'm not able to open the logs (that are supposed to be XML files).
Any idea how to fix this? 
I can't find a way to specify that the file type is XML, or a way to make Messenger save them as @hotmail.com.
