I am trying to find all my airline itineraries in my regular default inbox. I created new folder called airline miles. I thought it was a folder onto it self. That is a main folder, not a sub folder of the inbox folder. I just want to search the default inbox only, not other folders I have created. Once I find all the itineraries I am moving them to my airline miles folder. However when I search it seems to search all folders. So I will get the itinerary emails I already found and moved to the airline miles folder. So how do you search one specific folder? I did find a search x folder, but it seems to still find the email itineraries I already found. How do I do what I want?
Hello

I followed all the steps to setup the IMAP configuration of my Hotmail account. All my folders synchronize, except the inbox folder.

What can I do to fix this problem?

Thank you

I noticed a couple of days ago that mail that usually goes straight to my junk folder is now going to my inbox folder. I have changed no settings at all. has been business as usual on my end. I have noticed other people have had this problem and nothing has worked until an admin steps in and does something. Please dont suggest to me all the settings changes you have in the other posts. They dont work. And as i stated... I have made no changes to my account so it isnt on my end.
Hotmail messages on Mac Mail work fine.
From the web, accessing Outlook, inbox folder, messages stay for a week Then disappear. Not sure where they are actually stored automatically.
This influences my iphone. It automatically gets rid of messages older than 1 week, even when all settings on iphone are 'unlimited'.

I have just separated my Outlook mail into Folders according to the email account it is associated with.  I love being able to quickly look at my mail in the account it goes with, but I DO NOT LIKE this mail not remaining in my master Inbox as it had done before I made these folders.  At times, it is easier for me to look at all my mail in one place and at other times I would prefer it be according to the account it is from.

Soooooo......., my question is this.  Is there a way that my mail can remain in my Master Folder (My Inbox Folder), and still be sorted into the Folders under it (which are the various email accounts associated with it)?   I realize that this is NOT the biggest problem in the world, but to me, it is one of convenience.

Thank you for your time in answering my question.

I just made a silly mistake by clicking the empty folder option on my inbox folder instead on the delete folder, but when I try and recover them in the delete folder by clicking 'recover deleted messages' I only get a 100 or so recently manually deleted messages and none of the 1000s of message that were deleted when I accidentally clicked the empty folder on the inbox folder, is there any way of getting these emails back I only did this minutes ago. ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated as there are some very important emails that I need to get back
I am using davmail to sync my OWA (Server 2003) with my Outlook for Mac 2011.

The Inbox folder seems to work fine. However, child folders under the Inbox and other folders (such as "Sent Items" and "Deleted Items" don't display the headers for messages -- just the placeholder text "no subject."

If I go to *each* folder, right-click and then choose "Repair Folder," the headers appear.

How do I make this work without having to rebuild every folder by hand every time I use Outlook?

    Thanks, in advance.

I've followed the instructions on this post How to set up Mac Mail to sync your Outlook.com account carefully to set up to access my outlook.com emails via mac mail. I've set up two accounts: *** Email address is removed for privacy *** and *** Email address is removed for privacy ***.
For my live.com account, the mail box syncs seamlessly and it is working 100% fine and I am getting new emails as they come in.
For my hotmail.com account, all the folders have synced except my inbox. Only 3 emails in my inbox have synced (the 3 latest emails on the day I set up the account to sync via imap on my mac mail). The rest of the inbox has not synced and neither am I getting any new emails. It has been more than a week and I am getting new emails in the folders, but not the inbox.

Please don't delay by asking for a snapshot of the account settings as it is obviously correct as (1) I've used the same setting for both accounts and the other account works perfectly, and (2) the other folders have synced and this is only affecting my inbox.

This seems to be a common error being faced by a lot of users judging by the various postings on this forum and other places online.
Have you guys found a resolution?
i am the same problem with my account can microsoft please do something about it. my mail that is suppose to be in the inbox folder is split between my junk and POP folder yet i havent set any restrictions on my account.

    Hello everyone!

I really have too far many folders along with my inbox folder inside my outlook, each of them have too many messages. Thus I really would like to take over which messages should be exported to my WLM.
In the past, I have added my hotmail account, then when I have clicked on export, all the message inside all the folders existed in my outlook have been exported to my WLM.
Also, whenever another incoming message came, it is exported to my WLM.
