The other day I received notification that my Hotmail account needed a password change. This was no problem as I've done this many times before. I recently upgraded smartphones from a Droid2 to a Samsung Galaxy Note II. I love it and have yet to have an issue with any apps, internet usage or email.
Well, after receiving my email password change update (and changing it accordingly) I was able to log into my email through my laptop without issue. However, my SGNoteII is a different story. I noticed that after attempting to log into my hotmail through my Note II, I kept seeing the error message, "Sign in Failed, Invalid Username/Password"
So, I entered the new password (which worked on my laptop) into the hotmail settings on my Note II and again, "Sign in Failed, Invalid Username/Password"
I took the Samsung to my local Verizon store and tech service made several attempts to log me in, but had no success. They even went as far as to try logging into their own hotmail account through the Samsung and strangely enough, it worked on the first try.
The IT guy suggested that I may possibly have something wrong with my hotmail account and not my Samsung.
He advised me to contact Hotmail. But before I did/do that I wanted to post my issue on the message board in hopes that someone else has had a similar problem as I have and knew the solution (with positive results.)

Thank you so much

Hello,
This week I stupidly synched my Hotmail to my Mac via the Mail feature. It's generally annoying and I want to delete it but it's deleted all my Hotmail mails. Hotmail has saved some in Pop folder, but nowhere near all of them.
Neither Mac Mail nor Hotmail seem to have my older Sent mails. What's going on? Surely they haven't been deleted forever?!
If anyone can help I'd be really grateful, there are some really precious mails missing.
Thanks,
Krin
How can I delete several pages of old emails at once in Hotmail? I tried the "shift key" and the "ctrl key", but can only delete 35 at once.

Dear Sir
We are Jobzella.com Company, A professional Network for Jobs and Careers. Our Registered Users who are using Mails on Microsoft ( Hotmail or Outlook) are facing problems to receive email from our servers as It always goes to junk folder

We would like to know how to avoid this and deliver our Mails to inbox

Is there is a Guide or requirements we need to follow ?

thanks
Hi
my hotmail is hijacking and i cant access my mail and support told me that your email is expired ..... please i need 2 important mail that include password of wallet and i will lose a lot because of that ,,, someone use my email and contact my friends by asking them for money ... pls there is important 2 emails information i need them urgent and then i dont need it any more ,
Please let us know what information is conveyed by the X-TMN and X-EN-IMPSID email headers.

My guess is that Microsoft/hotmail logs some information that could potentially be used by law enforcement to track down the sender...
But that's just a guess... Please confirm or tell us the what/when/how/why of these headers.

There are also an X-OriginalArrivalTime and Message-ID headers that could be unique to each message and therefore used as keys to a database that could record everything microsoft knows about the sender, etc, etc.
