I upgraded to IOS 7 and now when I try to setup my hotmail (outlook), it says that a windows live hotmail plus subscripton is required. I was able to have my hotmail on in my mail on the former operating system. Can I not get hotmail on ios 7?
when hotmail was shut down it appeared I lost all emails, folders & contacts. I created a outlook email with exactly the same *** Email address is removed for privacy *** and same password and attempted to retrieve all emails etc with no success. I normally use firefox version 23 (I noticed
elsewhere version 17 is recommended however that would be an older version and cannot upgrade backwards), I have opened google chrome using www.outlook.com and it opened my original hotmail to a surprise and found my original emails etc but does not show my
new outlook emails.
I would like to pair the two emails together eg to transfer all hotmail information across to my outlook however I have been unsuccessful following any faq's that I have found and adding a alias does not work either.
Please assist.

I've been having trouble both syncing with my iPhone/iPad and my hotmail calendar. I also see that I'm unable to view my June or July calendar (I needed to go back to confirm a previous appointment). I'm unable to view these months on my PC at my office
running windows 7, with Explorer V10 or my Macbook Air running Safari 6.05. I get the same error:

New entries on my phone do not always sync to my hotmail calendar either. This is a new problem that has been occurring over the past few weeks. I discovered an appointment on my phone for tomorrow that was not on my hotmail calendar, and another that
I had entered on my hotmail calendar that did not show up on my phone. But, there are other entries that synced correctly.
I contacted Microsoft, and they do not support hotmail in any way. I was referred to the communities for help. I believe this may be a Hotmail issue, or a corrupt calendar, but I don't know know how to fix that. Please help.
On deactivating my old hotmail email account I logged into my new well used hotmail account to find all my emails were gone. Restoring deleted emails restored nothing. How can deactivating one hotmail account cause all emails in another to disappear? What's

i,ve forgotten the password to one of my hotmail accounts. i also have no idea as to the answer of my security question as i`ve had the account for over ten years and cant remember the answer.
i.ve tried the questionnairre on password reset but am unable to give enough info apparently.
tried the live help but they just sent me a link which i needed to sign in using my password (which i dont know)
phoned customer service which just sends you back here?

Like others I have found that all my old emails and folders have gone since being forced on to Outlook from Hotmail.
I use Microsoft Outlook (see 3 below) as my main client and have recently set up in hotmail to forward messages.
My old emails and messages were always there even when I set up forwarding but since Hotmail changed to Outlook all messages and folders have gone.
3.You are using an e-mail client or a third party spam filtering software to access your account.
This often happens when using the Pop3 protocol to retrieve your mail and the option “Always leave a copy of the message on the server” is not selected.
Can I get them back?

However I am able to check my email on my phone.

I recently upgraded to Outlook (or was forced to, rather!) from Hotmail, I was under the impression that it was simply the interface that changed not the destination or accessibility of the mail sent for my Hotmail account. Is this correct?
Since I've upgraded, I thought that I would continue receiving said mail from various places i.e. if I buy something online where I was already signed up with my hotmail account, the receipt or ticket would come through to the new inbox?
I don't seem to be able to access my hotmail account - even when I go into the Outlook security settings and try to verify my hotmail account it says it has sent the verification code to my hotmail email address - which I cannot for the life of me find
to sign into!!!
I'm totally baffled and would really like some help (not to mention access to the plane tickets and concert tickets etc that I have bought via my hotmail account!!!!)
Have tried restoring mail but there is no mail to restore and no new mail is incoming.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
